No, Gemmy, good thing the writers don't only stick to Egyptian mythology!

Chronus (Greek), Yu (Chinese, not a "god"), Nurti (Hindu?) were good SL (Anni seems to think so), and not Egyptian.

I want to see Morrigan (Celtic, "evil" war goddess) as a SL. that would be an irony, wouldn't it?

You like the character of Yu because of the interaction between two of the SG1 characters?

I thought people liked characters because of the way they're portrayed or the way they look (if you're into looks) or even because you like the actor who plays it, not because two other characters had a mildly humorous play on words over his name!

Oh well...... to each his own. IMHO it's not a reason to like a character really.......

I agree. He just keeps popping up whenever they think they've finally got him. I hope s5 introduces more system lords other than Apophis. He's kinda cute though.

yay, I have to admit that he is kinda cute, especially in his new red outfit & his jaffa in red armor. But I'm tiered of G's coming back to life all the time. Can't we ever kill them?

I like the Goa'uld a darn sight better than SG1. And if only the writers had let them be even just a quarter menacing as they were supposed to be in the beginning, they would rock.... As it is the writers and producers have turned them into a pantomime act. I just hope they wake up to the fact that not every fan wants to see 'SG1 kicks butt' episode after episode.

But somehow I think I have two hopes.....

Of course Apophis needs to be dead and buried, preferably under a collapsed Mount Everest, never to be revived, resuscitated or otherwise regenerated. No Seven of Goa'uld borg like patches, not even an Apophis head on a replicator body....... Just dead and stay that way.

Okay, so in Enemies, Apophis is on the ship that crashed into Delmak. Do you guys think he is really dead this time? How could he survive that? And even if he did escape, where did he go?
I agree with skydiver's idea that Danny needs to Zat him to make sure he's actually dead.

But then again, I love Peter Williams so much and wouldn't want to see him leave the show. And, he's the main rival Goa'uld for the SGC, he's been there from the beginning. He's a legend and it would be hard to get rid of him totally.

someone was suggesting that the replicators may figure out the G. personal sheild. Maybe they do & somehow they & Apophis survive the crash? A replicator did servive the crash into Earth & invaded the Russian Sub in season 4.
