should of been shot... ermmm i was thinking out load there...sorry.. he he he he

I gave some reasons why I thought Porthos was a good idea in the "... if Archer had a cat" thread. Those only hold true, if the writers actually write the dog that way into the script. At the moment, that isn't happening, he is just being 'cute' each week, and that is going to become tiresome very soon!

There is a funny scene in 'Acquisition' with Porthos and the Ferengi...

okay - let me ask -

how many of you take your pets on car trips? or any trips?

ppl take their dogs w/ them in the car all the time -

granted, it's not a 'five year mission' or whatever, but pets go along for the ride. Why is Archer taking Porthos any different than that? Okay, so, this is his job, big deal. Ppl have pets at their jobs - fish, and sometimes cats, and such - depends on the job. So, why is this any different?

Now, like Dave said, if Porthos is just gonna be 'cute' each week - then that's gonna be annoying, but if the dog gets something to do (as long as he doesn't save the ship), then that's fine.

just my $.02 ---

I have noticed.. Hey dont get me wrong i am not an animal hater just dont think they should be on trek as Porthos is...
