What do YOU want to see?

Well, in most places that is probably allowed. At least in private, assuming you are a consenting adult.

Of course, the definition of adult can be a problem on this BBS: Jaffa live to be 100+, Goa'uld/Tok'ra several hundred years old, Machello is really old, etc....
 
For what it's worth, what I'd really like to see would be the return of the adventure.

The Exploration of new worlds. Ancient cultures that thrived on other worlds.

I'd like to see less of the politics, backstabbing, and stupidity.

I'd like to see more Greek Mythology coming into play. Like egyptian (and all mythology) it really is pretty interesting, and the bases of all stories. :)
 
well i wanna see again all these "questions"(people) that we never saw again... such as the tollans, the rich guy who kidnapped sam, sarah who turned into a goa'uld, the asgard, and i'll tell you the rest when i remember

and yes, i want stargate to go back to its roots..more exploration, more suspence, more rich sories (complete stories, coz right now it looks like they can't even finish their stories, there's always an unfinished issue, something left that's not answered, and never will be, like in desperate measures and others..)
i'll give exemples, coz it's beginning to annoy the HELL OUT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the show is beginning to be boring, that's why i can't even remember the eps i wanna talk about!!! (the ones that annoys me..yeah i say it again : I SEE RED!!!!

How about Charlie of the Reetou (and lately Tok'ra); Nick Ballard (last seen chatting with Quetzcoatl?); those races who we see in a single episode, but could still be beneficial to the SGC, such as Orbanians, or even Nem; all those we see in one but are pretty much self-contained: symbiotic people from One False Step, the Byrsa, the Christians now without a Canon, Shavadai etc. etc.

And more Reetou. :p

Course some new creatures would be cool

One thing I've always wanted to see would be an episode that had dealt with some creatures such as Cthulhu or Nyarlathotep. anyone who reads H.P. Lovecraft would know that Nyarlathotep likes to appear to humans as an egyptian pharoh :)
 
Good point - in general we have never really seen a LARGE, really "alien" looking alien... we do get to see (partially) the insectoid perfection that is the Reetou form, and some (probably armour) in the episode Foothold, the odd Unas and Goa'uld symbiote - but where are the really alien looking creatures.

Well, on the region2 DVD volume 16 (series 4 eps 9-12), one of the producers explains that "Crystal Skull" was their chance to do a "ghost" story... so why not do some of the other more mythical creatures.

I am sure that they can come up with some interesting sci-fi explanation for vampires, werewolves and/or other creatures, not least as simply "loose" aliens on earth. (as per "Point of No Return").

Thankyou Texane! I got bored the other day and started coming up with ideas for 'my' ep:

1.) Prehaps while SG-1 are still small, the SGC gets invaded and they are the only people left to stop the invaders. Of course, this would be a bit too much like that DS9 ep, 'One Little Ship'.

2.) Tiny Jack trying to drink a bottle of beer. I'll leave the rest up to you.:D

3.) Hammond or Fraiser saying something like, 'At least now they won't eat all the desserts before we get to the canteen!"

4.) Fraiser trying to check their vital signs, and finding the stethoscope is slightly too big...

I have more, but I don't want to bore you. Any suggestions?

Hmmmmm. Perhaps RDA is far too busy making commercials to be bothered about whether the show is going downhill or being made on the cheap. I mentally visualised this scene:

RDA (sitting with his feet up on the desk, surrounded by Minutepass calling cards): Waddya want?

The Stargate writer asks him whether he likes the current scripts intended for Season Si and should they add more action, exporation and adventure.

RDA: Don't bother me with boring crap like that..... can't you see that I'm making money out of commercials here...... $1,000 a hour and all the calling cards you can use! This is BIG stuff I'm talking about, not small stuff like whether Stargate will make it in the ratings or whether the fans like it any more.

RDA leans forward enthusiastically: I can use these calling cards from anywhere in the world to call my family.... I could even use them after I've been whitewater rafting down the Yangtse river!

Stargate writer goes away in search of strong coffee and jelly donuts with lots of sugar on them.

Are the rats deserting the sinking ship do you think?

And believe it or not..... it makes me really, really sad. It's like the whole thing has just switched off somehow.

More Goa'uld, more exciting REALLY bad guys, less boring conspiracy crap.... for god's sake even bring back Heru Ur, Hathor and Cronus..... any-bloody-one..... Mind..... I draw the line at Apophis.

I think they're just gearing up for events leading to the sixth season- I do get sick of all the conspiracy stuff and politics though- I think there's another sci fi show on already like that-the X-files- and I agree- let's see the return of Hathor of Heu'ur- two bad @$ villains who were very popular- nothing pisses me off more than an entire episode without one 'Gate activation-the show Is called Stargate after all!

Good points made by all. Just a thought . . . the scripts started going downhill when we heard it was RDA who didn't want to do the 6th season. Just a thought.
