Ok, best/fav time for reading?

lol, booze and books.

I can't read when I wake up, my eyes are just too fuzzy and on work days I get get at 5.50am and just not in the mood plus I bet I'd end up being late....

like this morning!

Pretty much anytime but I do love to wake up with a book, it sets the tone for the day...

xx

For me it's the hour or two before sleep. In my previous job I was surrounded by people who were enthusiastic about books. I was often reading titles I never would have picked up on my own just because of the outright happiness people had in discussing and recommending books. Even my district manager would start each visit with, "What are you reading now?" Chain stores aren't all bad.

Any time at all.

Doesn't matter if I'm in school, in a car, at home, at a friends house... as long as I have a book and somewhere to sit (doesn't even need to be comfortable. I've been known to squat against a wall and sit there for a couple of hours just reading) then I'm larfink.

I usually prefer either sat in my computer chair, or sat in bed, with a cat if possible, and, of course, a book. But I will read anywhere and everywhere given the chance.

There's a true fan of books, if a bit insane lol ;)

Hmm... It tends to be whenever for me. Whenever I'm not doing anything and have some free time I cram a bit of reading in. Though my favourite time to read is at night, less chance of being disturbed ;)

*Sigh* Sadly lacking the time to read, because I'm back at university now. I should really make time for it, me thinks, like an hour before I go to bed...It's a shock to the system when you go from reading almost constantly, to not being able to do any at all! :D

Any time of the day, on my bed, and I have to have something to eat. Depending on my mood, I may listen to music, since usually I need music to concentrate, and I'm not picky about the type of music, though Metal works wonders for my concentration.

I like metal myself but I could not listen to it whilst reading, just too distracting for me.

Same for me, I can't really have noise while I'm reading. I get distracted too easily.

For me the best reading time is after 9 in the evening and Sunday afternoon. Since I am also easily distracted I prefer not to listen to music while reading. However there are books that can be read with music on. There are times the background music fit in the story perfectly it's almost like sitting in a cinema except you have to play the picture yourself in mind.:)

Heh, I know, I'm weird. I've never met a person that listens to metal while reading...

Well my friend that makes you an original indeed!

Something good to read with music that is REALLY distracting is the tabloids, but hey, that is just me. :D

same, I start siniging or screaming or worse headbanging >.<

Really hard to read. hehe!

Also university pretty much slows my reading down. I mean all my housemates take away the reading time for activities such as drinking and generally socialising. Damn them :)

I'm not a bath person usually, but I have no choice but to take one a lot of the time as some of my hobbies cause injuries and sores, and call for me to soak in one, usually a couple days out of the month. I find I usually read over 150 pages or so in one sitting and it helps the time go by when I'm recovering from something so I guess thats my favorite time.

150 pages??? blimey I don't think I could do that lol not that many pages all at once. 10 does me, maybe a bit more.

I find with Peter Beagles A Fine And Private Place I dunno how many pages I read, they just flow by.

Well when your baths or "soaks" last 3+ hours or so, which is plenty of time to read that much, theres not really much to do in that situation. I don't think I read fast or anything, I just spend a lot of time in the tub if I have to heal an injury. The off season(which is what I consider myself when I'm free of injuries), I usually only read a couple of chapters a night, which is usually about 20 pages or so.
