Ok, best/fav time for reading?

Ahh all becomes clear! A 3 hour bath is pretty long, you gotta top it up to keep it warm I assume. lol

I try to regulate myself to a few chapters whenever I start reading... but it never works. I've been in the "one book, one sitting" mindset for far too long.

A 3 hour bath?! You'd end up coming out a cold and wrinkled little bunny, right?

Of course I top it off a few times. ;-). ...and yeah, I come out pretty wrinkly, but it's a small price to pay. I 'd rather be wrinkly, than live with an abundance of sore and achy muscles. The smart choice would be to give up either fencing or boxing, but since I gave up Judo before(for now atleast), I want to be able to enjoy my other hobbies. Giving up one is enough. Thankfully work takes me away from them three-four days out of the week, otherwise I'd be a big pile of sore bones!

Early morning, as early as possible, is great for reading university/school subjects.

Equally late night is great for reading SF/F.

Do not combine.

The best time for me to read is early in the morning, when no-one is around and I can get absorbed in a book. The trouble is, it never lasts long and my peace is soon shattered.

I read whenever & wherever i possibly can :) I read on my smoke breaks & lunch breaks @ wrk, I read on the treadmill @ the gym, i read in add breaks while i'm watching tv & usually at least an hour before i go to sleep... If i'm out clubbing on wknds i tend to be too tired to read before bed, but if i stay home i can happily laze arround in bed all day reading...

Before bed is my favorite or anytime between midnight and 4am. I think in the car when its not moving/parked is my second... you know, road trip pit stops. :) I try the train once in a while, but its not my all time favorite. With the train I think it depends on the book and if there are a lot of people on board.

As for atmosphere? Calm, quiet (not too quiet, but relatively so) and sometimes isolated.

I do the majority of my reading in the few hours between the end of dinner and crawling into the sack.

I read on my lunch, and then usually when I get off work and am waiting for my husband to come home. If there isn't anything on TV I usually read after dinner. But I always read before I go to bed, even if I wasn't able to read at all during the other parts of the day. :)

I like to read darker stories at night. Horror,SF/F work for me perfect late night. When people are sleep and i have the calm, quitness i need for those stories.

I read whatever book im reading almost everytime i rid bus or train. I can easily shut out the people and all the noise around me. I read at early evenings too in the living room, my sister always wonders i can shut people that are talking loudly and watching movies near me.

The strenght of a good book is your mind forgets the world around and focus on your books world, characters.

I dont like to read whenever im sleepy or alittle slow at mind usually when i wake up in the morning. No matter its a weekend or a day i have the place to myself for hours.

I like to stretch out in my hammock on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a cold beer, the radio playing the footy and a good book in hand.

Having children, a stressful job and lots of work to do to the house means this has never happened.

The reality is ten minutes before I go to sleep. Maybe 20 minutes if I get to bed early.

I like to read for 1/2 hour + before I go to bed. Before then, I am almost always on the computer.

There was a time that I could read any time, anywhere, but alas, that does not seem to be the case. I no longer seem to have the time and when I do, the chairs are just not as comfy as they once were.

I seem to find the only time I get to read is snatching a few minutes, half an hour or if I'm really lucky, an hour in bed at night. (It could be argued that I could be reading while travelling on the bus as I am limited to that form of transport at the moment, but the down side of buying lovely hardbacks is that they are too heavy to carry around!!)

But if I had a choice I would read all day long, sitting in my grandfather's old armchair (that I still have somewhere) a mug of tea and a packet of decent biscuits by my side.

I like to read when it's really peaceful... if the TV is on, I always seem to end up watching it if someone says something that catches my attention, so if everyone's out I read downstairs, but its usually in my room. I don't have a specific time of day to read, just when I have some time spare. I try not to read just before bedtime, because I always end up telling myself "just one more chapter..." and end up reading til 2 in the morning.

The best time to read, ever, is in the middle of the night (when you can't sleep). I read and write all day for work, and reading at bedtime tends to be a waste of time these days, as the words just start swimming. Before bedtime, kids. 3 and 7. Loud little centers of attention that they are, Daddy does not get to read.

This is why I don't read as much as I would like to (or used to!). If I get some time to myself on the weekend, I read. I usually don't get time to myself on the weekend, though.
