Well, I've just finished chapter 40, which brings the tale to ~118,000 words, with at least a dozen chapters to go.
As far as I can tell, I've been writing this non-stop for just over a year. It is certainly my longest single work to date.
I've got the opening of its sequel written, and the core of the plot roughed out, but I think I'll give that a miss for a while as I don't think I can sustain this level of effort for another year...
For example, I've just had to re-read the whole of PfP and draw a map of what timber was felled where and when, and when it was hauled...
