I've been busy again.

Novel - Untitiled
Genre - YA Fantasy
Current word count - 17,431
Start date - 19th March 2012
Status - Coming along nicely. As said, i plan to work fuill time on this, so hopefully the first draft will be done by the end of June at the latest, with edits and redrafts taking me through to September. I do plan to complete this piece as best i can, and submit; it will be my first attempt, so I need the tough deadline to motivate, i feel.

Status - Well, it seems my estimate of having the first draft completed by the end of June was a touch optimistic. There have been unexpected drains in my time to write, but i still try to as much as possible. At 40k i would say it's about half way through the first draft, excluding the added scenes and world building/history lessons that will extend the final re-write.
On pain of failing another deadline, i'm going to say that the first draft will be ready for re-writes by the end of september, just in time for my second year in uni.

Just finished a fairly gruelling edit (again, is this a record, Norris?) of AC, it's sitting at 100000 words. That's it, and then I'm expecting another gruelling one in September, and hopefully it's up to where I can get it to now.

About to try to sort out Sunset over Abendau 76500 but I've spent a couple of weeks thinking about the story arc, and I now know what the end of it is, so that's about 25000 words to add to this one.

And then, if I'm looking at epublishing, I best write the third, which is firming up in my mind, even as I write....

And then there's the rock opera simmering in the back of my mind... :p

The dome is still sitting at 5000 words, and hasn't moved on.

So. No internet. Did I get any writing done? Nope. Grand total of words written this week: 0.

Naughty Mouse! A writer's first excuse for no writing is spending way too long on the internet...researching...stuff.

Closing in on 30,000 words. Although a large chunk is plot notes. Did find a very interesting thing to do to Our Hero. Interesting like the Chinese curse, "May You Live In Interesting Times".

Crikey, the muse is on me like some smelly Mexican wrestler!

AC, big edit completed, sitting at 100000 and shelved for now.

Sunset over Abendau, currently at 73500, prologue removed for now and under consideration, a bit of beefing up of some plot lines, and the ending due to be extended a little, so hopefully it'll climb to 80000 leaving me a bit of room to expand when things occur to me.

The Dome, still frozen, but I can see the next scene in my head, so at some stage that'll have to be spat out. :)

Sunset over Abendau; Has crawled to a proper ending. Currently 77000 words, but as the last 5000 are my usual first draft. He said of Come on and they went... skip to next part of action and ignore all description, this'll climb. But, the main thing is, it's plotted to the end! Am skipping with relief, it's been a couple of weeks of looking at it and thinking it wasn't going to work. :)

TBM: 47,938! (Including notes.) Woo hoo! I have just done three big reveals in the last 20k though, so I think I've possibly done a whoopsie somewhere. *sigh*
