The chronicles word counter!

Abendau is finished, Inish is off in the big world on its own, so now for the new baby:

Galaxy of Flowers, 15489, a good planning session had and this gets the focus for the next wee while. :)

God I don't even know what I am doing. My AP classes are insane. I have started a new story. For now it's called Moon's Flower. It's all handwritten so I don't really know how many words it has. I'm going to guess 4000 words. But probably not.

Culture Shock - Start date May 2012
30/01/2013 – 80,000

The shift from editing to writing took a while to do, lots of grinding gears and even some swearing. I'm also doing some emotional mushy crap, which is not my style period; so that has been a challange. The places writing takes you to, what can I say.

Yes, actually! I added some words to that thing with the lady-being-dug-up thing because, even though I'm not feeling it, I have no other ideas at all. At all.

So exams are over, (well exam at any rate:D) and uni has begun again, luckily as a
Literature degree I get a ludicrous amount of time for reading, a lot of which is spent better by writing I find, so my next project is
Short story - Grace
Genre - Children's sad Life fantasy???
Start date - 19th January
Word count - 14,572
Status - This project is almost done, I need another 5 thousand words or so to put the final events and the ending down, and then on to a swift redraft and then to a beta before a next draft and hopefully off to competitions or publishers.

I'm hoping after that to redraft some old short stories and send the off for publishing as well as do new ones, always improving and all that.

The King of Ink and Shadows has finally passed the 50,000 words mark.

Yey!

In my efforts to freeze the cockles of people's hearts (and a description of walking into a lake) I have reached the dizzying heights of... 51,600... Woo!

(in other thoughts -- I didn't get time to work on this for AGES and it's fantastic to be back into it)

Now at 14281 after three days work, so that's encouraging...

Still having point of view problems, as it keeps jumping into first, but am trying to keep it in third for now, feeling like I've bitten off more than I can chew and it's never going to get there. Accepting many cups of tea from Mr.Springs and reminders that I was exactly the same with Inish. And it got worse. So that's nice. :)

I, Singularity is now 43,100 words. Apologies to anyone bored by my constant posting, but I'm really happy with how fast the Muse is pounding good ideas into my head. :)

Well I think I have completed most of my pre writing...I am sure there will be many tweaks along the way on characters and story arcs.

For my first ever WIP I am in at 1,710 words. Not much but you have to start somewhere. I must admit it feels great to get ideas down. When I have sat down to write, the words have come out with very little head banging so I am optimistic.

Short story - Grace
Genre - children's poignant fantasy
Start date - 19th January
Finish date - 4th February
Word count - 19002
Status - First draft complete, was a tear jerker finish, I hope at any rate. Onto a first draft of a flash fiction for a uni project, has to be done by the end of the month, should be done in a few days, just have to come up with an idea first. Then after I'm back onto the redraft of Grace.
