The chronicles word counter!

This is exciting, I'm being productive.

Brand spanking new romance: 2,786 words.

The Allery story, which I haven't touched for a few days, is now at a stonking 16,531 after me churning out 1,079 words of an action scene today and nearly killing off all the characters.

No change, stalled and depressing. Main character needs a major rethink. Ho hum.

So... while that comes to something in my tiny mind:

THE WATERS AND THE WILD (aka shiny new thing) is sitting at 4992 after three days. Even for me, that's quick. It seems to be writing itself... we shall see. :)

The Eternity Sphere

YA science fiction novel, 100k words, complete

Status: resting its weary head. Needs a new start before I submit to Strange Chemistry. Then it can have a go at another ten agents

The Fall

Contemporary Fantasy, 7k words so far

Status: on hold due to lack of motivation/being too depressing. May return and cap it at novella length

Bartley (working title)

Urban Fantasy novel, 8k words in 3 weeks (a record!) so far, incl. 1400 today

Status: a steamroller of a project; motivation at maximum; and I wrote my first smutty scene. Next four chapters and vague outline of plot in my head. Going to need some serious plotwork soon, though

Galaxy, no progress, no ideas... niente.

Waters and the Wild -- 13998, it's just flooding out. Like Alc, at some stage, I'll have to get a proper plot in there, but I'm not stopping it exploding for now. I can hone at will... :)

Well done, alchemist. The feeling of completion is great isn't it? Good luck with agents, fingers crossed for ya!

The Many - 16,000 - Old writing, I'm beginning to realise it can never be edited in, re-written only. I'm also getting the urge to push forward with this WIP now, I needed a break after finishing the last one.
 
Thanks Bowler. Unfortunately, TES has been finished for a while but got no bites, hence a change of approach is needed. The same as yourself, a new project has really got the juices flowing again.
 
I, Singularity has now reached 69,018 words. A new beginning, set two weeks before the original beginning, establishes Our Hero's "normal" and how it's all falling apart because she's unexpectedly come down with a chronic case of super powers...
 
Written over 1k today so my new thing is now 4,161 words. Oooooh! Need a title.

Waters/wild up to 18,400. A bit of an edit of AC, playing with abendau 3 from time to time and writing key scenes and its and bits when they hit me. Starting to have plans for Galaxy.... Urggggh, too much to think about. :)

@Hoopy. I do, regularly. :) i shall stop entering the writing comps that spark all the ideas. Tis the chrons fault, I only had one idea when I got here. :eek:

Now up to 15k words. It just keeps going and going, but I'll have to address the tricky romance sub-plot soon :eek:
