10,000 words into Screened. Just today I wrote almost 5,000.

Thanks to Tuesday's crazy writing spree, total for the week is 11,000 words. Total, just over 15,000.

Maybe I should join in with this.

Novel: Unfinished (rewrite)
Word count: 33,684 of total approx 130,000 (first draft just under 130k)
Genre: fantasy/time travel/historical
Aim: write at least 5-10,000 words a week until finished and refuse to be distracted by short stories (ha!)

Word Count: approx 40,000
Genre: YA Fantasy
Aim: get the other one sorted first then blitz this one. No short stories.

Anyone who catches me writing any short stories has permission to shoot me! In the foot, please - need the hands for typing....

Screened is at 20,000 words and stalled for the time being. Need a bit of distance from it.

New baby 'The Hunt' is at 5000. YA horror. Rubbish title but will do as project nickname for now.

"Whitecott Manor" (provisional title, though they usually end up sticking) is 4,505 words.

As of today we are at just over 91,500 words. Estimate is roughly 30k max more to finish.

About 50k into the big rewrite but stalled as lost confidence in it. Again.

Instead wrote three short stories this week adding up to around 5k or so. There's been a lot of personal stuff going on this week.

Wrote another 5000 on horror thing bringing it to a close at 10,000. Was quite cathartic. Might go on a bit of a short story rampage; needing a bit of time off from novels...

Today, I, Singularity is 106,281 words. One more chapter, possibly two, and the first draft shall be complete.

On November 24th, I posted in this thread that "I, Singularity now 106,281 words..."

Today, I, Singularity is 108,728 words. One more chapter, possibly two, and the first draft shall be complete.

And then shall come the editing.

And some other words got split off into the much-anticipated* sequel. Currently this un-named work sits at 10,527 words.

So that's 119,355 words in total.

*much anticipated by the characters, as they live any longer if their stories don't continue.

I WROTE 300 WORDS TODAY!!! After months of not writing. I had to squeeze them out. But, 300 words!

So now, Whitecott Manor is a grand total of 5990 words.

It's painful. Really.
