* Wonders what will happen if there's a tie in this vote. *

Then I suppose everyone would get one-and-a-half votes. Those who didn't want their half votes could barter them for favors or auction them off. The moderators could set up a clearing house for the exchange of half-votes, and take a percentage off of the proceeds. We could ... I guess we'll have to think up a tie-breaker.

HareBrain, if you are asking for two votes now, we'll put that down as a vote for two when we vote for the stories, shall we?

What I want to know is whether there is any political significance in having the poll worm lines as red and blue. And should we have insisted on having a third line to ensure proper impartiality (with a note confirming that other parties were standing, but just didn't have enough clout to warrant a worm of their own)?

I have two favorites myself. ;) It'll be easy street if two votes are allowed, but I'll wrack my mind trying to choose between the two.

*sighs morbidly* If only this weren't the only situation for such a dilemma for me.....

I know we live in hard times, but most people should have the wherewithal for a coin toss.

How are two votes better than one if you've got a half dozen favourites, though?

And if you have a clear favourite, but two others joint second, two votes would cause more voting anguish than just the one.

I bet, in some parallel world, Greek democracy never got off the ground because of issues like this.

I must confess I was a bit undecided about this.

I think we should have had two votes in the Poll as well. ;)

* Waits for Nick to make a pronouncement so that I can agree with him. *

;):)

No, then the illustrious Goblin Princess makes her demigod declaration and we all smile and nod and vote. :)

Unfortunately, I can never seem to keep anything to less than 3000 words, and that takes a lot of effort!

I would still try, given the time (which seems to be rather limited these days). Do I have to agree to participate now, or can I watch the competition each month and join in when I have time?

It's all very free and easy, Michael01.

There should be a competition per month, each one open to anyone. And you don't have to write a story to vote for your choice.

(And if I can manage to stick to 75 words or less, anyone can.)
