Most Disturbing Moment/Event (SPOiLERS!!!)

I don't remember anyone mentioning Jaime losing his sword hand. Boaz alluded to it, and if someone did mention this i apologize. SPOILER for THE Dark Tower series below

Roland losing the 3 fingers on his shooting hand to the lobstrocities at the beginning of Drawing of the Three was and is still shocking to me. I've often thought that Martin may have had this event in mind when he maimed Jaime

****SPOILERS FOR DARK TOWER SERIES*****

Jake being hit by the car was disturbing as well, not to mention Roland letting him fall to his death the first time.

I think the death of Lady was shocking because it was Stark killing one of their own at the behest of a Lannister. Granted it's not like Eddard lopped off Rickon's head, but the metaphor of Eddard cutting the head off a wolf seems a bit....ermmm.

I believe Eddard had asked for some ice just before doing the deed, I figured to ease the pain.
I also see the death of Sansa's direwolf as the death of any wolf blood that had been in her.

I am aso re-reading the first book and just got to the part where Septa Mordane is introduced as the girls teacher nanny sort.I remember later when the Lannisters murder most all the Starks at Kings landing including the Septa and when Araya was escaping and getting to the stables and seeing even the Stark's stablehands have been killed.
That was probably my first Holy S moment, killing the stablehands, these guys are hardcore.

After reading the preview chapter, I do pitty him. I don't dislike Theon. But much prefer Asha for all the wrong reasons.

How can the reasons be wrong when it feels so right??

Have to quote myself here, I am re-reading Game of Thrones and did not realise the first time that Ned's sword was named "Ice" and he wasnt asking for ice to help Lady's pain.

This scene had some impact for me also because Sansa's direwolf Lady reminded me of my cat, small runt of the litter very sweet and trusting...

I'm a sucker for the runt of the litter as well. Ned killing Lady was a gutwrenching scene for me.

Especially the way it is written in the book.

"She was the smallest of the litter, the prettiest, the most gentle and trusting. She looked at him with bright golden eyes, and he ruffled her thick grey fur."

And he had to kill her.:(
