TEIN - I was thinking something similar myself, it has gone achingly quiet....

Mirinda - another great little story, it reminded me of a song (ironically) but I can't quite put my finger on which one, the opening lines any way. Really enjoyed the close of the story, another superb entry.

I think those that could post early have done so, while those who can't yet haven't. Or something like that.


In past months, the main thing stopping me post was the lack of anything to post. Luckily (for me, at least), something always turned up before the deadline.

No, they are just lurking ... can't you feel them out there?- tweaking, adjusting, editing, re-loading... preparing to storm the ramparts with renewed vigor.

I try not to imbue too much of myself into the work as of late as it only leads to more disappointment when not only does no one vote for it, but no one even mentions it, when there have been months where I literally spent 5 minutes writing it and get a lot more feedback.

Over-thinking something appears to be my greatest enemy in anything I do.

This seems to happen every month, though. There's a big surge to thirty or forty entries in the first few days to a week, and then a trickle of ten or so more over the rest of the month.

My story is still coming. Unlike the last six or so months, I've actually started writing something. Whether or not it will end up being my entry, at this point I can't say...
