Many congratulations, Moonbat on a well deserved win. :)

Edit: Just noticed that we had fewer votes than entries. :(

Just noticed that we had fewer votes than entries. :(

Electricity was knocked out in my area near Chicago because of storms (power is back), but I made it in time to vote. Perhaps the ones who didn't vote were unable to make it here.

Congradulations Moonbat

Yea!!!!! Most Robot like Narrative!!
Great job, MB!!!!!

Re: Discussion July 75 Word Writing Challenge

Congrats Moonbat!

Sorry to everyone else, I didn't get my vote in. I was confused as to when it ended. I'm on vacation so time has a lot less meaning. (Does that make sense? Let's just say that every time got extended into no time, and some time disappeared.)

Re: Discussion July 75 Word Writing Challenge

Congratulations to Moonbat, a great entry and a well deserved win.

Bring on the next month!

(and a thanks to Stormfeather for the mention!)

Congratulions Moonbat! - Well done! Looking forward to your next month's choice of tale

Jonny's Friend by Highlander. (I can't give it higher praise than, "Woof!" )

And a couple of extra votes for my tale in the last hours of voting too!

To Ursa Major "Woof! Woof!" pant-pant-pant, "Woof! Woof! Woof!!!" ;)

And Thanks to you too Starbeast for your vote!

And a final list mention from Stormfeather too!

All comments deeply appreciated - roll on August 75-worder...

Re: Discussion July 75 Word Writing Challenge

Yee-Haw :)
Woo-hoo :)
Yippee :)
etc

Thanks to the 7 people who voted for me, I am really chuffed to have won, quite pleased with myself actually. I'll have to work hard not to let it go to my head. But I'm very happy and will be smiling all month long.
Thanks for all the congratulations too. and well done to all those that got votes (and entered, the competition wouldn't be what it is without all the wide range of entries) Another fantastic month of stories, when (if) we do produce an anthology of all these stoeries it will be very good.

A close run month, I went to bed last night knowing I was 1 vote ahead of digs and hoping that I kept my lead. This morning I have seen that, although another 7 or so votes came in, no-one (no not the chrons memeber) voted for either of us last night. A wide spread of votes this month.

Ok, so now to come up with a theme and genre, hmmm.... :)

p.s. Hooray!!! :)

Wallow in it, Moonbat. :)

The entries are so good, the voting so hard, that you deserve to feel good about yourself for a few days at least.

Re: Discussion July 75 Word Writing Challenge

Congrats, Moonbat! :)

Re: Discussion July 75 Word Writing Challenge

Congrats Moonbat! Summon the jugglers and the prancing dog! (Sorry ... already gave the dancing bear to Alchemist!)

Did you know that horses – well, some horses, at least – actually listen to the music and "dance" (those 'dressage' steps) in rhythm, even when they've no-one astride to direct them? I put it down to herd reflexes; synchronising with hooves around to stay together, but I could be completely wrong.

And congratulations, MoonBat; you already knew I approved of the story, and, for once, my taste was general.
