Just got in in time. Despite a great amount of re-reading entries, Perpetualman's story remains my firm favourite. Sorry to everyone else, but no shortlist or multiple votes needed here.

Don't get me wrong - there were many brilliant entries. But I can't justify voting multiple times when, to me, there's a clear winner.

I've included more stories in this month's list, mainly because the huge number of entries meant that having a normal-sized list would have left too many stories out. (And yet too many stories have still been omitted :(.)

Anyway, here's the list as it stands:

Honourable Mentions:
  • Everbody's Dead, Dave by Mouse
    [*]The Promises by Hex
[*]The Last Ride by Scott R. Forshaw
    [*]On Being Prepared by stormcrow
    [*]Blessed by the Procrastinator
  • Strolling Down Hunger Avenue by The Spurring Platty
Runners Up:
  • There's None So Blind... by mosaix
    [*]The Covenant by Teresa Edgerton
    [*]Love Consumes All by Phyrebrat
  • Broken Things by digs
  • Heaven on Earth by Boneman
Winners:
  • Soul mate by Aun Doorback
  • The King's Shilling by Paranoid Marvin
  • Freak by nixie

Howdy,
Just want to thank Juelz4sure for the vote it made my day. Would like to thank JohnnyJet, Parson, The Procrastinator, Chrispenycate and Arkose for the short/long list mentions.
Finally got my votes in, my eyes have been giving my trouble and I have a hard time reading for any length of time, so I could not keep going over the long list of my favorites so I had to resort to a combination of , names in a hat and dartboard. Good work everyone.

My note piles seem to be mixed up (I use the pile method of keeping track of things), if I missed anyone, I'm sorry.
Oh yeah, thanks again to Springs and Hope.
Bob

Anya and reiver33 please accept my wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hope to see you back at Chrons soon.

Thanks, Ursa.

Gosh -- this is so exciting. Me and Scott in second place (sort of). Go us!

(oh yes, and the three stories with 12 votes... they probably deserve a mention too ;) )

Some really kind words and votes for my entry this month; thankyou from the bottom of my heart.

This month was a toughie as the quality is so high; has anyone noticed their own work getting better and better, because I've certainly noticed it in other regular entrants. My only disappointment is the lack of poetical entries, especially considering the number of posts, but still a highly enjoyable month.

Thankfully we have 3 votes, and I would like to divide my shower of praise between Tactical Loco, High Eight and Boneman. Well done people.

I am going to read the 75 worders shortly, what time does the voting shut. Is it 11.59 (its 8.30 now)

Thank you, Ursa, for the short-short listing, and Cul for the vote!

And Gary, the voting ends at 11:59 GMT.

It says GMT +1 on the bottom of every so is it 11 or 12 tonight based on it saying 8.48 now:)

Two stories still tied for first place with only two hours to go!!

Could Aun sneak in and claim the victory at the last minute!

Oh the drama, it's like watching a sporting event. :D
