digs is in the lead by a nose...

As we enter the final hour digs has the advantage, but will it hold to the flag.

Could there be a last minute flurry of activity. Has digs done enough to claim victory. Or could HareBrain pull it back and force a tie break.

Okay, I pasted every story into Word and not the writer’s names. I read them and deleted stories I didn’t like and doing that 3 times I ended up with 3 – halleluiah.

It would seem I followed the pattern of the discerning on these forums but sorry to Digs:)

Feel guilty about knocking you off the top.

In a possibly unprecedented development, each of our leaders voted for the other.

So I guess they only have themselves to blame that they're tied.

Holy nutballs! I did not expect to be in a tiebreaker with the illustrious HB...I expected to crush him outright.

Jokes!

Thanks for the votes everyone, I'm stunned. As for you, Gary...*shakes fist*

Congratulations to HareBrain and digs! Both excellent stories.

Commiserations to Aun, pipped at the last by one vote. A three-way tie would have been something to behold. Even more difficult for voting, though.

Thank you to The Judge for her vote, as well.

After some deliberating, I've gone for HB. He was one of my original votes and I'm sticking with it. That said, it wasn't easy. The more I read these entries, the more I like them both.

As Procrastinator said, a very hard choice3, but I read them a couple of times each, and the one that tickled my brain just a little more than the other was digs.

I hope it won't be another nine months before his next one.

I might take this back.:p

Thanks Gary, TJ, digs and Bob S for my last four votes. Congrats to digs, and to Aun as well for a very close-fought race: another nitrous oxide can on that trolley and you might have done it.

Really hard, but I had shortlisted HB, so I'll stick with that one. Oh, the tension and there's still the300 worder to go. My nerves, my poor nerves....

which just brought it to 50/50....

Both stories were on my shortlist. My vote has gone to HareBrain, as he got one of my votes last time.

Thanks, Gary :)

I voted for digs last time, so I'll stick with it. Both brilliant stories, though.

Both stories are excellent.

But I'm sticking with HareBrain as I voted for him in the first round.
