Some really strong entries straight out of the box!

Which record shall we break this month?

Mine's up....so to speak.

For me so far it's a record number of shorted out neurons.
I have no ideas yet, but it's still early.

I've read over the wiki page for "Science Fantasy" twice and I'm still having trouble distinguishing a true idea that fits it properly. This one will be difficult for my strictly fantasy based way of thinking. Very good choice this month, though. I love a challenge. :)

I like Rod Serling's summary:

science fiction - the improbable made possible

fantasy -the impossible made probable

So no wizards or witches in science fiction, whereas almost anything goes in fantasy - the weirder the better.

Oops: I have a trilogy based on a wizard in a sci fi setting. Sort of. With a vaguely sciency reason for it. Very vague.

Actually, I think in science fantasy, pretty much anything goes. Dragons on the moon, why not? A moon ride through the stars on a flying carpet, sounds good. Anything you can do in fantasy, you can do in science fantasy, it's just they're often in space, or travelling through time, or futuristic-ish.

Tactical, it made me chuckle. :)
Don't apologise. To quote Larry Niven: 'Never be embarrassed or ashamed about anything you choose to write. (Think of this before you send it to a market.)'

I've liked all those I've read so far.

Idea came to me as I drifted off to sleep last night, after pondering for a few days. As always with these things, it's not as sharp as I remembered it being, but I cannot for the life of me remember the exact turns of phrase I was half-dreaming! As it stands, I am happy with it. Really like these challenges and seeing what everyone comes up with in reponse, and how different they can be.

I laughed at Tac's, too.

And journalists are criminals now? *watches news* Okay, fair enough.

I hesitated with mine, partly because of the subject, and partly because the first draft was 500 words long. I ran it past my grandad, who is blind, and he had no problems wih it, but if anyone here does please accept my unconditional apologies and I'll remove it.

That is if it's understandable at all!

Tactical loco- I think thats cruel and unusual punishment for the gang! :)

Nice stories Hopewrites and Warren. Their are a lot of talented writers here.:)

I was just wondering why my 300 and 75 story focusses on God. Am I due to snuff it soon or maybe the wife has bought me some sandals for the summer:eek:

Rings gym and books emergency fitness campaign, while simultaneously emails alchoholics annonymous for appointment:eek:

I'm too young too become an Angel!!
