Well I never did!

I still have not caught up yet, and then there are the 300 word s this month and I don't even like hobnobs (this could harken back to the days when I was the master if the chronicles biscuit barrel)

Other than the hobnobs, a pretty accurate description though.

Not too big, eh? It's okay, I'll take some mini Hobnobs, instead, if you have any going. I'm not fussy. :D

Here you go - plenty for everyone! ;)

And to think you've got your feet up when there's so much to do. Shame on you, Perp, shame on you. :D:p

Mmm, thanks, Bill. :)

Is it me, or is it a slow month this month? I keep popping back for little 75 wonders of entertainment only to discover no new postings. The only person that can be happy with that is Perp, who gets to slack off...

Speaking for myself, I have four written (which is not usual for me; normally I just have one, possibly two) and I can't decide on which to post. I know which one I want it to be but I'm scared it may not be the best decision. On top of that I'm busy working on Ursa's 'half-decent query letter' (I don't know how to quote cross-thread posts ).

When I make my mind up I will chuck something at the 75 word wall. It may not, however, entertain. :D

I've read all the entries, and here's what I had to say about them.

Some powerful drama by Kylara, Springs, Reiver33, Ratsy, Bowler, Scott R. Forshaw, Silvermoon and Perpertual Man, very intense.

A touching messages from Abernovo and Clippedwolf, very good.

Great fantasy by Luglin and BigJ, very cool.

Funny writing by Alchemist (and great rhyme) , StilLearning, Lenny, Highlander and Glen, nice work.

Interesting rhymes by SciFrac, Parson and Moonbat, well written.

Unique tales by Matle, Billhafan, Chrispenycate, Karn Maeshalanadae, Juliana, David Evil Overlord, KshRox, Grinnel, Johnnyjet and TacticalLoco, good stuff.

I hope we get more submissions, I've already begun to narrow down my choice, I've got eleven people in mind for winner, but I can only choose one.

There I was, feet on the table slurping from a mug of tea, and munching on a packet of Rich Tea when I thought I might as well catch up on things...

Glen – On one hand I’m not sure what to make of this little piece, but I loved it, like eating a favourite cake, one might say. I just felt that the person asking the questions had a level of incredulity as though he could not believe what the other did, and if that was the case it came across well. Perfect conclusion, nicely giving a different take on the theme.

Thank you Starbeast. Thank you Perpetual Man.

(That sounds like a bit of dialogue from the end of a superhero movie! Here's an idea for a future comp (which is unlikely to come from me given me poor performance to date) - a story which must incorporate at least one SFFC contributor. That would be a real test of our ability to portray character.)

Lilmizflashythang – There is, for me at least, a twist of innocence and devilish childhood mixed together here. A child wishing for his favourite character to be on a show is one thing, launching a toy to the stars is another thing entirely. Or >gulp< is he walking into the house with the firework and the destination IS the TV!

hopewrites – Pure genius, hope. To start with I felt that I was reading an extension to Twinkle, twinkle Little Star, a nursery rhyme in the making. Then it seemed to get a little more serious, before belting me around the head with an outright laugh. Excellent.

southron sword – There are some dreams that cannot be reached, and those that we believe unattainable. Imagine the wonder at finding something so far beyond our reach is suddenly there before us. Would we be able to resist? Even if the cost was our life? I’m not sure but Silky sure couldn’t.

I've got pretty much nothing this month. Or more accurately I had a couple of ideas, only to see other people do them first.

Thanks Perp :) I was tempted to add another set when I saw my word count, but realized I'd already said everything I wanted to. So elated I just posted it straight up, might try and make something out of my other thought for this theme (my thanks to Paranoid for such an inspiring one, btw) because I think it could really be something without a count restriction.

Thanks for the review Perp. I was just going to jump in and say that I posted last night, but this was a better thing to run into.:D

Glad you found it funny Starbeast.

Hullo! Finally sat down long enough to write & post. Been otherwise occupied. A lot.

Looking forward to reading through the thirty-odd entries (so far) that I've not read yet!

...and there's that 300-worder too!

Oh, the 300 word is fun this quarter. And as I predicted, a lot of different things popped up on it.

This challenge was interesting as well, though to be honest, I feel that Marvin had eliminated a lot of the "challenge" part by making it open-genre.
