Karn – Deliciously twisted, with a the gift of a bitter smile, that looks to s future where the children’s delight of a jolly fellow bringing gifts is nothing more than a memory of the past, instead he brings another gift, and for all those who hide in fear of what he brings, there are always those that welcome the bloody present.
TDZ – It’s amazing what some people will do for true love. They say that love makes us blind, but not just to our other but to the consequences in the world around us. That someone is prepared to sacrifice themselves, the become what they hate in order to keep their love safe, might blind them to the fact that the other might be open to danger from other fronts, the stealing of a present to protect the other, and death for crimes rather than at the fangs of a monster. Ironic.
Springs – And then Ursa jumps in with a pun.... what do you mean it’s springs? A groan worthy masterpiece that delights in the word play, an invitation for something that is almost impossible to resist. Who would want to turn down such a thing? There is so much going on, it seems stupid to not join in. I mean what’s the worst that could happen?
Scott – Straight off the bat, I loved the formatting for this one, despite the content its guaranteed to keep the vampires away in it’s own right. The rewritten carol works perfectly and the care and detail in both the words and lining it up for the cross is spectacular. The words matched the tune in my head immediately. A cracker.
reiver33 – I have heard it mentioned that this one contained smut. So lights down, door locked and a cup of cocoa by my side. Great, great entry, telling all you needed without an excess of description, the meeting of two equals, possible lovers and gifts to be exchanged, just made the ending all the more delectable. If it was smut, it worked to perfection and of the highest quality. Naked? Not even a Christmas stocking?
