I am one of those dreadful procrastinators who has not managed to vote yet, but I will remedy that tonight or tomorrow. I had extra children staying at my house last weekend, which made the whole thing hopeless, and with my car being out of order and also having to replace the dryer (which is coming sometime today, probably while I'm at my son's school spelling bee), my brain has been fried. I will vote, I will, I will -- err ... is it the 10th or the 15th that voting cuts off?

***Just found out my car is fixed! So the dryer and the car will be taken care of without bankrupting us, and my brain can get back to the important stuff again -- like writing stories and voting.

In case anyone's slapping hand is itching, there is a clear legal difference between someone decrying her ability in general as certain small rodents have done in the past, for instance -- which warrants physical chastisement -- and a passing comment that a particular story is not of one's best -- which is legiitmate and consequence-free. And if anyone's hand is still itching... I have a sword here which can cure that skin complaint very quickly.

I will vote, I will, I will -- err ... is it the 10th or the 15th that voting cuts off?

If you're voting for me, it's the 15th. (That's the UK 15th in case there's a difference.) Voting for anyone else, it's the 20th.

Finally got voting and - wow, five votes for my half and half. Thank you very much Boneman, Juliana, Stormcrow, Talysia and The Spurring Platty; I will scan this thread and thank those that have shortlisted me, but I have a seventy-five entry to post, while webconnection holds out.

Ooh, it wasn't easy choosing the three winners this time; my short list wasn't, by any but cosmic comparisons. Far too many stories were rejected for grammar or homophones, which is supposed to be a last resort.
