Thanks everyone, I've enjoyed reading all the entries this month.

My shortlist:

Reiver33
Abernovo
Alchemist
ratsy
Talysia
Aun Doorback
Mosaix
Phyrebrat
Parson
The Judge

My vote goes to Juliana - enjoy your holiday!

Thank you Boneman and Perp! :)

On holiday at the mo, so not much internet time between beach and pool (its a tough life *sigh*) but will post my vote as soon as I have a quiet moment to reread eveything.

If I'd known that I wouldn't have mentioned you!!!;) Have a great holiday, and a glass of your choice on me for a great story!

Abernovo: thanks so much for that - I was in illustrious company... Don't you just wish you had three votes for a change? Change. Geddit?

Thank you so much Stormcrow for the shortlist!! Its as good as a vote to me this month

ratsy - you're more than welcome; I thought your concept was particularly interesting.:)

Don't you just wish you had three votes for a change? Change. Geddit?
Grrroan! Terrible pun, Boneman! I like it!
Oh, heck, I've succumbed to the exclamation mark contagion! :D
It's not going to happen, though.

Thanks for the listing, stormcrow. :)

Shortlist

Hex
Luiglin
Lenny
Lucky_Lola
Anybody else whose name begins with L
Teresa Edgerton

And the vote goes to.....

Hex

Thanks for the mentions so far, and much much thanks to Warren for the vote.

Stormcrow Thanks so much for the short listing. Much pleased indeed.

Some excellent entries this month (as usual). My shortlist:

Hex - The Love Bug
reiver33 - Static Information Transfer Medium
juelz4sure - Untitled
Talysia - Spider
Luiglin - Subarachnoid Space
Lenny - A New Man
Mosaix - The Colour Of My Days
Teresa Edgerton - Blind Date
TheDustyZebra - Pandora's Toybox

And my vote goes to Hex. I thought she captured both the genre and the subject perfectly. Also it really was a complete story; there was nothing more needed to be said. Brilliant.

Didn't write anything this time - I'm not very good at cyberpunk! Anyway, here's my shortlist:-

Hex - The Love Bug
Alchemist -New Year's Day in Shinoya Prefecture
Juliana - Paradise Lost
David Evil Overlord - Children of the Evolution
Johnnyjet - Anonymous

And my vote goes to - Alchemist.

Ah man, first time in two months that I actually have something and I miss the deadline.

Lousy timezones.

Down to work, the shortlist:

Hex – The Love Bug: An excellent turn that left me very impressed
Reiver33 – Static Information Transfer Medium: Cyberpunk lives and dies by the slang and jargon. Love it
Abernovo – Time to Run: Perhaps it’s best that I did miss the deadline, as my story wound up being essentially a poor imitation of yours (I never read other stories before writing/posting, just for insulation)
Juliana – Paradise Lost: Funny how those last four words can really throw you off balance in the best possible way
Talysia – Spider: An air of mystique that really makes me want to read more than 75 words of this world
JohnnyJet – Anonymous: Reminds me of Dead Kennedys lyrics, and that’s always good
Mosaix – The Colour of my Days: Tying cyberpunk to folks like Timothy Leary, nicely done
Culhwch – Pop Up Blocked: Never has a command line been more chilling

After an excruciating amount of deliberation, vote goes to JohnnyJet.

Thank you very much for the mentions, Aber, PM, EricWard, Scott, High Eight, Mischov and Bowler -- very exciting! (though, Bowler, I worry about your sense of humour).

And super-charged thanks with extra wire to alchemist and Vertigo for the votes. A lovely surprise this morning.

I haven't been following this thread very closely because of ... well, the usual boring reasons I have lately for not doing anything much, plus one family health crisis (which, fortunately, ended well), so it was exciting for me to return and discover that I had votes and mentions.

So thank you to everyone who mentioned my story. And a big thank you to Abernovo, Luiglin, and Scott for the votes.
