Sekrit Santa

Yeah, I definitely won't get mine done before the last week of May. Oh, hi, exams. ><
 
Looks like I was second in, then. It helped that I really enjoyed writing it, and it successfully evoked the intended emotion in its one test reader.
 
*stethoscope to wall, hope gently wriggles her hair pin in its lock* I can hear tapping on the other side. The story wants to come out, but I've got to back up and come at it again.

Anyway, I'll only be posting the openers (for exactly this reason, so you haven't 'published' it anywhere). Only your giftee will read the whole thing, unless you decide to post it.

ETA: Unless you have somewhere password protected to post that I haven't noticed...
 
Urgh, this is not going well at all! However I do have a new dragon character :D but nothing I can use in the story I need to write :( ARGHHHHH
 
New dragons (however unuseful they may be at present) are always a treat! Maybe they eat something plot related and make themselves useful later on.

I got some marvelous insperation from the weather today so we'll se if that cracks the door open and gets me over the block and on the ball again.

Yes, that's fine, cheers KMQ. I heard back from the market I submitted it to today and have heard it's being considered for publication but it'll be at least a couple of weeks until the decision is made. :) Even so, I'm delighted -- I think I just really liked the challenge set by the one I was given.
 
I forgot about this until a couple days ago! I sat down and busted out around 700 words quite easily. I hope to have time tonight to do some more. How long are the rest of your stories? Just roughly so I don't know who wrote what

Hmmm. I'm not sure if I should say anything at this point. I mean, if you get a story that is 20,000 words long, and I say mine is about 5,000, you could use the process of elimination to come up with an educated guess about who wrote what.

fair enough, i sure wont be submitting 20,000 words!
