Discussion -- 300 Word Challenge #9

Thank you for the mention Phyrebrat.
I'm afraid you are right about the cynicism. It's even worse than you see here. but any dealing with it got left on the cutting room floor.

So, are we ever going to have a month when its easy to choose?! Mercy! Anyhow, after quite a bit of hair-tearing indecision, my top ten, including votes:

Luiglin
The Judge
alchemist

Hex
springs
reiver33
EloiseA
barlennan
The Spurring Platty
Perpetual Man

Thanks for the mentions, Starbeast and Brev. :)

And many thanks for the vote, Glisterspeck. :):)

Thank you Starbeast for the lovely review, and for the mention, ever so grateful.
Thankyou Victoria for the review. As always you give the nicest professional reviews i've had.. i wish some of my bosses had your flare.
thank you chrispy for the mention.. (next time i will remember about the not sleeping bit)
thank you for the mini review glen!
thank you david for the lovely vote! yay! :)
thank you Karn again for Voting for me!
i can not believe i got even one, you guys are always so nice to me!
i have put this off as long as i can.. been reading the stories as they were posted and each new one seemed better then the last. so as to voting i have been confused and confuseder..
so short list time
Victoria = dusty= johnny = luiglin = starbeast = lenny = reiver = ratsy = tactical loco = glenn = ursa = Theresa = storm crow = grizzgreen = Eloise = Chrispy
shorter list
big j = Karn = Betawolf = ABJ = Heather = Abernovo= DEO = Joan
( ARRGH! Brain hurts!)
the most vivid imagery was from Heather, joan, deo, aber, karn and big j.
so, a blind rescue to save a kingdom from genocidal psychic overlords.. female startrooper space gestated budclones win the field.. zombified dragons resigned to eternal slavery as ship pawns.. Father being abandoned by his daughter, sacrificing one love for a greater.. and skeleton fighting marines worthy of Ali baba, an impossible quest and a funny ending...and the survivor marking time through endless years of isolation and despair until he can go no further, all dreams faded...
(if only votes could be cloned like joan's troopers...)

Thank You for the shortlisting jastius!:)

Been very stretched for time this week & have been meaning to vote for a few days. Glad I didn't miss it..

...my shortlist and votes:

springs juliana Lenny reiver33 DEO
Hex AJB Phyrebrat Perpetual Man
Paranoid Marvin The Dusty Zebra The Judge

Very entertaining challenge all round!

Phew! Kept away for a couple of days - at least as far as Chrons is concerned, only able to keep up with the comments on the 75 worder, which is a shame because I've missed out on a few thanks.

So, thanks for the shortlistings TDZ, Lenny, Phyrebrat and Juliana, it is greatly appreciated.

And it seems as though I have two stealth votes too, so a great big smiley thanks to Alc. and Glisterspeck.

And a further big thanks to Stormcrow or the not so stealth vote.

I haven't checked back in a week or two, so thanks for the kind mentions.

Immense thanks for the vote, jastius! :)

very tough one to vote on this time

Shortlist is Ursa and The Judge, winners are Victoria Silverwolf, Juliana and springs. Juliana, I really like the idea of imaginary worlds being placed into someone's mind.
