Not much time left and 58 entries but only 40 votes...lots of votes to change things!!

Karn? You've been around long enough to know not to vote for Chrispy! Who knows what excess he might get into next time? Still, thank you very much.
Starbeast, many thanks for the loyal shortlist, but
Rushes up and hugs Parson - sorry reverend, it's a sort of continental hug, think of it as primitive Christian you noticed the "autobiographical" – I wasn't sure anybody would. (The removal truck passed yesterday taking all my goods and chattels west, toward the old country).
Of the thirty eight 75 word challenges to date, four have had more votes than enties, and one had the same. Otherwise, yes, it's more difficult to vote than submit.satsuma said:i was pondering on that... is it normal to have less votes than submissions?

Wow. A difficult month to pick a favourite from. It was a great theme in so far as it generated so many differing interpretations. The stories I liked best, and which for me nailed the brief best were:
BigJ - lots of ends
Victoria Silverwolf - two crazy ends
AMB - one end a bit nearer
alchemist - "on the International Space Station, hiding in the toilet"
kromanjon - two restless ends
like the morningstar - movie endings
Alex Mason - crusty end
Tywin - Misunderstood end
JordanSC5 - end and beginning
Moonbat - Ah! Yes!
I took a long time choosing but in the end voted for JordanSC5. There was a clear sci-fi element meaning it matched the genre, and something in the matter of fact tone and the comedic self-deprecation that made for a striking and moving contrast with the background tone of the end of the world.
And what an immense pleasure to see I have a couple of votes for my story too. From Perpetual Man and Victoria Silverwolf no less. Thanks indeed to both of you for your kind words, and thanks to all who reviewed and offered some feedback. I am humbled, and a little puzzled that this story is probably my biggest success to date.
