Dream Walker - Aww, what a cute little robotic tale. This story has the makings of a wonderful children's book, or a nice episode from the tv show, Outer Limits. Very cute.

Much apprecciated, Starbuck. I will always take "cute". You know what they say, cute gets you (edit) icecream.

Thanks, Starbeast! :)

Ooooh! Victoria makes me sound much cleverer than I really am! I thought of the piece as more crime and punishment. I never saw the alternate reality angle. That's what happens when you start writing at 2AM I guess.

Gee, maybe I'm actually cleverer than I think I am...

D'you want an answer?:D nice to see you back. J.

Perp – What’s In the Box?????

johnnyjet – An updated telling of the Fountain of Youth, perhaps one of the most sought after things. I mean who would not want to search for something that could give life eternal. But there are always twists on those things that bestow this gift, and we are offered an excellent one here: you are granted your immortality, but in the state you are in when you find it. An old an dying man would be so forever. Chilling and entertaining.

TL – Interestingly similar takes on the theme come together at the same time, in this case the discovery of immortality. But as always with the creativity evident we get something totally different. In this instant vampirism, but given a delicious twist, a hunger that is never sated, the desire to consume more and more. The price of forever? Everyone. Well presented and a inventive story too.

Alc. - There is a wonderful sense of humour running through this story, as a man returns home to find his wife apparently being used as a tool of investigation as to whether there is a witch in the house. I liked the idea of seeing only one side of the conversation, clever in that you did not need to see the other to make it work. But all the more impressive when the end shows that there was a witch there all along...

Grinnel – Another nice play on the theme where a thief discovers that which he thinks he wants, only to discover that there is more to it than he may hope. On the other side of things, the being who seems to have set the trap discovers his latest victim, while his child discovers the nature of his latest toy. Another great idea and enjoyable tale.

As always, great thanks for the ton of work done by our fabulous reviewers.
You guys should start an online for-pay service. You are that good.

Thanks, Starbeast! :)

You're welcome Abernovo.

Thanks for the review, Starbeast. Glad I could make you laugh. :)

You're welcome David Evil Overlord. Picturing a zombie king in a parked car just tickles me.

Whoops! Sorry there Starbeast. Did put in your name but got auto-corrected by the silly phone. Obviously there is a conspiracy of coffee lovers trying to suborn its circuits.

No worries, I'm cool. It made me think of 1970's Battlestar Galactica's, Starbuck. I love that classic show. As for the coffee company, I can get a better cup of coffee from my favorite doughnut shop, and pay a lot less.

As always, great thanks for the ton of work done by our fabulous reviewers.

Heh heh. Thank you for the tremendous complement! PM me where to send the check. :D Then I can split the amount with my fellow reviewers.

Thanks Starbeast!:)

You're welcome Paranoid Marvin.

Grinnel - Excellent tale of magical fantasy. Plus you surprised at the end to what was really going on. Just when I got involved with the character, Terun, you turned the story around. Nicely done.

We would never charge for our reviews.

What an amazing book offer!

I have a complaint for the management. I want to be entertained with regular 75 word entries, and there’s been none since Grinnel! Sunny weather is not an excuse, no matter how sunny.

I'm not intentionally holding out; I've just drawn a complete blank on this theme. I know I will be beaten with sticks for saying this but I find the obscure/difficult themes and genres easier as a stimulus. This one is just so open I'm having no luck.

Horror, yes. Plenty of horror ideas on 'Discovery' but fantasy or sci-fi ...nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

I'm still trying though.
