Discussion Thread -- SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE -- December 2013

manu thanks to starbeast and victoria for the reviews - always a nice thing to wake up to and as always, my story seems to get better in review!

Sorry folks very busy couple of days, so been missing the reviews as the stories come in. Santa and the elves will be back by the end of the week!

Well, I've posted. I must say this story took a direction I did not expect! And like usual it's straight forward and a bit simple, but I have "faith" that there will be one or two who will like it.

---

So far I really like Victoria's and Pyan's. Both of them took highly original swings at this challenge.

You are immensely welcome Mr Orange. I thought your tale was a great effort. :) But so are many others.

Thanks for the reviews Victoria and Starbeast!

You're welcome Tywin

Take your time, you're a busy guy. I'm just thrilled (as many others) that you can join in the reviews. Which are doublely cool this December.

Faith/Sci-Fi
(part five)

Chrispenycate - You touched upon something very interesting here, an outsiders view of Santa, by an alien race. Because I too, wonder what extraterrestrials would think of our celebrations for holidays. Awesome.

Johnnyjet - Such a sweet and heart-warming tale, filled with creamy goodness. The father and daugter's faith ignite the fire of emotions within my mind and heart. Oh my, I'm getting misty again. Well done sir.

Parson - An amazing story which resonates like a pulp magazine tale from the past, with incredible imagery and a thought provoking situation. Human's faith and fate rest in God's hands. Superb brother Parson.

Starbeast: I'm humbled by your review. Thank you so very much.

Pyan - Heh heh. The last line in your mighty story really sinks it's teeth into the reader, by spotlighting your interpretation of this month's challenge. Well done sir.

Thank you, gentlemen!......:)

Well, the Muse took her own sweet time...um, after I took her first idea and turned it into a short story for submission to a professional market...:D

Anyway, finally got a story into the challenge...:)

I thought so. It may have been inspired after I went Christmas shopping and subsequently began to wish a painful, fiery death on all of humankind....

Ahh, yes, that'll do it. I had that problem with just plain, regular shopping over the weekend. Too many people wandering slowly and aimlessly and stopping in front of me.

I was cranky yesterday when I saw how customers made the store I work at look like a tornado went through it. Here's a song we can share this holiday.

Faith/Sci-Fi
(part six)

David Evil Overlord - A remarkable robotic story. Android religious fanatics! You realy get down to the nuts and bolts of this cyber tale. I love the idea that they worship Isaac Asimov as their "law-giver". This, does, compute, with solid data! Astonishingly cool.

Culhwch - Whoa! You don't mess around with this mighty offering, and neither do the malevolent aliens wiping out our human race. Definately a story that blasts you like a ray gun, and shakes you to the root with the "epitaph" line. Excellently executed, just like us humans.

Abernovo - A pleasent off-world tale that shines with the spirit of X-Mas. I was delighted upon reading this merry treat that makes children happy with the belief of Santa. You wrapped it up so nicely like a present that's ready to be placed under the tree. Good stuff.

Thanks for the lovely review, Starbeast. :)

You're welcome Johnnyjet.

Hmm, by now I thought there would be at least forty-five stories. However I do understand this is around the holiday time for many people, and work can be busy for people in retail as well.

Fantastic stories from everyone who has posted!
