Thank you for the short listing Teresa.

It's been an exciting week of voting, with three front runners now. How are the nerves?

Why, thanking thee kindly, your Highness. I had not thought I was aiming this one thy way; a trifle down to Earth, is it not?

Thanks for the mention, TDZ! Especially among such an illustrious & talented group of writers.

Thanks for the listing TDZ!

I have been away for work for a few days and now I am swamped at my desk but I hope to read through the stories in the next day or two and cast my votes. It looks to be a close one so bribery is accepted :)

Thankee, Teresa.

Wow, that made me almost spit out my coffee when I looked at your face at the end of the quote!

Got round to voting, and flippin 'ek you made it tough...

Shortish list;

Springs, Bowler1, TitaniumTi, Martin321, fitzchivalry, Mr Orange, Perpetual Man, alchemist, Teresa Edgerton, TheDustyZebra, Ursa Major and Fitzchiv.

All worthy, but after much rereading, and head scratching, and mind changing, and general indecisive dithering, votes went to Springs, Martin and Alc.

Thank you for the short-listing, Brev.

Why, thanking thee kindly, your Highness. I had not thought I was aiming this one thy way; a trifle down to Earth, is it not?

Ah, my interests are more eclectic than you think. And I loved the language and imagery in your story.

______

It's still a close race, but springs is the one with the momentum right now.

Thanks for the long listing, Teresa. :)

You're all welcome - sorry I didn't have more votes.

Talking of which, a massive thank you to Teresa for adding to my tally.

I have read through and it appears I am going to be agreeing with the majority for the most part.

Votes are for Springs, Teresa, and The Judge

No short list for me this month but well done everyone. You all made it hard to vote this month.

Just voted for the 300 word challenge. Was more difficult than I thought to pick just three. Loved dead silence, made you wonder just what was in the tunnels with them. Spanner in the works was another good one, wish it had been longer. Liked Inspector, reminded me of other novels I had liked. Can't wait to see what the next challenge is.
