Thank you for the vote and the kind words, fiarra. Really appreciated.

Slipping into moderator mode: There's only a couple of days left on the voting, and lots of people still haven't voted.

According to my little list, those who wrote but voted not are Abernovo, AMB, BigJ, Fitzchiv, HareBrain, jastius, mosaix, Phyrebrat, SleepyDormouse, The Judge, The Spurring Platty and Ursa major . As you can see, several of these are multiple offenders, regular last-minute hangers on. Just to remind the others…

On the other hand, Glisterspeck, fiarra, Hex, Mith, Mouse and SevenStars voted without submissions; our thanks to these.:)

Almost last minute here but my (rather long) short list was:

Karn
Juliana
Bowler
Ratsy
Mosaix
Harebrain
alchemist
Glen
AMB
Brev
Dusty Zebra
Abernovo

my votes went to
Springs
Perpetual Man
Teresa Edgerton

Thank you for my vote rafellin :) and for the mentions from Springs, Starbeast, fitzchivalry and Teresa

Thanks for the mention, Sleepy Dormouse. :)

I see, barring any sudden last minute changes, Abernovo may have continued his record of impeccable taste. Still doesn't help my nerves, though, but thank you for the vote, and to Sleepy Dormouse too.

I can't watch for the next day, I think. In fact, it's worse than the England-Ireland Six Nations match can possibly be. Whatever happens, though, being so close to Teresa, who I like and admire so much, I'm absolutely delighted. In fact, I half-want her to win. (Half, I said. Half! :p)

I have tickets, so watch out for my smiley face in the crowd. Rubbish seats behind the goals, but hey, they'll do. I suspect you'll be peaking, how could you not?

Thank you Sleepy.

Great stories this month folks. Sorry that I wasn't able to participate this quarter, just glad that I got the time to finally read through and rack and stack these.

Here's my list and votes:

JohnnyJet - The Cry of the Electric Arc: I liked this story, and it makes me feel kind of proud to be human. Dirty, violent, incredibly self-destructive… but that’s what we’ve always been, and we’re no quitters. J

Ratsy - The Island of Doctor Alberts: Still laughing here. I like how you build up the drama, and then poke a hole in it. - VOTE

Victoria Siverwolf – The Fog of War: I liked the world you built here in just a few words.

Titanium Ti – Survival: And so the cycle begins anew.

Martin321 – A Dark and Stormy Realm: A good, well developed story. You take us through the protagonist’s feelings of failure and despair, and the end is almost comic, but in a way that kind of makes you see a bit more of the personality of the protagonist.

Mr. Orange – Via Feratta: What’s not to like about an arrogant race of conquerors being destroyed like that?

K’Ree – The Endless Game: This one was just fun. All the drama behind the scenes in a game of Warhammer. Damn their business model where each new set is more powerful than all the other stuff you’ve ever bought! - Vote

BigJ – The Price of Victory: Great implications in this one. There’s a whole separate level there where you think about whether or not it would be worth it to employ these super soldiers.

The Judge – Birth of a Monster: Oh, the paradox!

Ursa – One Track Mind: Nice story all around, and you leave us with a revelation at the end that makes this read like the opening sequence for a much longer story.

Springs - A MILLION, AND ONE REASON: Springs, you led this off and despite many great stories it all kind of felt like downhill from yours. You have my vote, and if there were only one vote in the 300 word challenge, it would be yours too. - VOTE

Thanks for the short listing & nice comments, Tywin. Yeah! It's good to be a rough and tough human!

Tywin, thank you so much for the vote. I am glad you liked it.

Forgot to enter, remembered to vote...

I had six winners but had to choose three, which was darned difficult, I can tell you (because I know you'll all believe me!)

Winners and Vote-gatherers

Ratsy
