Great stories this month folks. Sorry that I wasn't able to participate this quarter, just glad that I got the time to finally read through and rack and stack these.
Here's my list and votes:
JohnnyJet - The Cry of the Electric Arc: I liked this story, and it makes me feel kind of proud to be human. Dirty, violent, incredibly self-destructive… but that’s what we’ve always been, and we’re no quitters. J
Ratsy - The Island of Doctor Alberts: Still laughing here. I like how you build up the drama, and then poke a hole in it. - VOTE
Victoria Siverwolf – The Fog of War: I liked the world you built here in just a few words.
Titanium Ti – Survival: And so the cycle begins anew.
Martin321 – A Dark and Stormy Realm: A good, well developed story. You take us through the protagonist’s feelings of failure and despair, and the end is almost comic, but in a way that kind of makes you see a bit more of the personality of the protagonist.
Mr. Orange – Via Feratta: What’s not to like about an arrogant race of conquerors being destroyed like that?
K’Ree – The Endless Game: This one was just fun. All the drama behind the scenes in a game of Warhammer. Damn their business model where each new set is more powerful than all the other stuff you’ve ever bought! - Vote
BigJ – The Price of Victory: Great implications in this one. There’s a whole separate level there where you think about whether or not it would be worth it to employ these super soldiers.
The Judge – Birth of a Monster: Oh, the paradox!
Ursa – One Track Mind: Nice story all around, and you leave us with a revelation at the end that makes this read like the opening sequence for a much longer story.
Springs - A MILLION, AND ONE REASON: Springs, you led this off and despite many great stories it all kind of felt like downhill from yours. You have my vote, and if there were only one vote in the 300 word challenge, it would be yours too. - VOTE
