Discussion -- August 2014 75-Word Writing Challenge

ratsy -- This clever story combines black comedy with wordplay in a way which is sure to amuse.

Thank you very much for the review Victoria. I like it :)

I haven't been posting for a few days trying to think of something to post for my 2000th critique which will be going up shortly...arg

Cool new stories, everyone! And I wanted to mention to Sodice that it's great to see you in the Challenge! Nice story. CC

Thanks. Without the encouragement of folks from Chrons, I probably would have waited months before submitting anything since I am so new to writing. I am glad they gave friendly prodding. :p

Void! Oh, my goodness, an unexpected and clever take on innocence! You're off to a good start here. :D

Did somebody lose battery power again? Those prods are not supposed to be "friendly".

Sodice -- This mysterious and evocative story fires the imagination of the reader.

Kylara -- This sad tale forces us to wonder when the ends justifies the means.

Remedy -- The author prefectly examines extraordinary events through the eyes of a child.

Void -- This haunting and surreal story is sure to be remembered for a long time to come.

Thanks Victoria :)
I was hoping to mesh the light and dark of innocence together a bit. I really struggled to get it down to 75 though!

Thanks for the comment, Silverwolf. And whoever may have made a comment that I missed (if I did miss a thank you, I apologize).

Thanks DustyZebra and VALIS13! I'm really glad you liked it - especially since I nearly wussed out of posting after reading some of the fantastic posts other people have already made!

Thank you for your wonderfully lyrical review Silverwolf ^_^

Thank you Victoria :) Very kind.

Tried not to go dark, but I couldn't keep it light since my innocence is lost to me ;)

No one here is so far past their bloom as to be more withered than I, and I have yet to write about demonic kittens (redundant, since I think all cats are spawn of the devil anyway) or tortured rainbows.

However you say it, TE, just because there's those of us not chronologically ahead in time, many of us-myself included-feel very emotionally aged, and intellectually as well.

Not to mention that the term "cynical" would be a vast understatement. :D

Ah you must have met basement cat then...

I personally love cats :) but demonic cats would also be cool and in fact they are in one of my mini WiPs...

Yeah, that's pretty much what I see when I meet any cat.

A. Fare Wells -- With dazzling speed, the author creates another time and place and the many changes that have happened there.

alchemist -- This dark and subtle story abounds in multiple twists and ironies.
