On second thoughts, Springs, does this mean that anyone who contributed will have to falsely guess an author for their own story so as not to give the game away?

Okay, I've got to vote early as I'm away for a week tomorrow and unsure about internet access.

Serial Killers Anonymous gets the vote. A great interpretation of the theme.

Authors? Not a clue. But I'd hazard a guess at:

My vote and top entries: That Old Chestnut, Look Here, a Christmas Tragedy, Unicorn in Hiding and Roots. Lots of really great interpretations of the theme in general!

Now for some guesswork. I thought I recognized some of the 'voices' but will stick to people who were on this thread, assuming (maybe incorrectly) that they, at least, sent in entries.

The only guess I have as to who wrote what is chrispenycate for "C'est Marron" because of the vocabulary.

Not sure who wrote what, I'm afraid, though I'd probably guess springs for the one about conker poisoning and kylara or TDZ for the unicorn story.

I voted for The Lost Portal because of its utter brilliance. Not sure who wrote it but someone from the UK, I guess, because of Greggs.

Aber, Alchemist, Ashleyne, Bowler, Cat's C., Chrispy, Hope, Jastius, Juliana, Phyebrat, Mosaix, ratsy, Remedy, TDZ, Ursa, Victoria. That's only sixteen, but anyone from the challenges could have surreptitiously join in; it's not like the SS where everybody has to join. Is Springs allowed to submit her own writing? Were we actually restricted to one piece or, like the SS, allowed alternate choices? Did I actually submit anything? Oh, I must have, surely.

I'm useless at this sort of challenge; I'll have to steer clear of any future versions.

Oh, I've forgotten to list one of my favorite stories...Board at Work is marvelous! I think it may contain my favorite finishing line of the contest! (Really and truly means these statements...but also sits back to see who 'Likes' this post, so he can add one more entry to his story guesses...)
