DISCUSSION -- February 2015 75-word Writing Challenge

I'm not given much time to vote here, am I? *sigh* Happens when one is gone for a week with no internet access...

But I'll look things over.

I had to go with Jastius. What can I say? I'm a sucker for the faeries, and going with Oberon and Titania as she did...

Otherwise, close second was Phyrebrat-that little poem you started off with really caught my eye. Third would be Glen with a nice little double limerick entry, though being double, it was a little jarring to me...

Howdy,
Tough choice but I had to go with telford's story, reminded me of my favorite TV show, Bob's Burgers, the kid with the rabbit ears would say exactly that.
Good luck.
Bob

Thanks to Darkchrome for the honourable mention. Stunned and amazed to receive two more votes. Many, many thanks to BobSnr and to Boney for the stealth vote. Okay guys, now I'm getting fidgety. Someone blast that bloody bunny.

This seemed like you must have went over the word limit. How’d you fit that entire story in there? I would have found myself at 500 words just trying to tell half of that. The word counter must be broke or something.

Thank you kindly, Tywin! I think I often sacrifice subtlety in my entries because I try to put too much story into them. But I'm so pleased to receive a listing! :)

I think some thanks are owed.

Thanks for the listings, DG Jones, Willwallace, and Hex (your comments have had me skipping for a day now).

And thanks heaps to Winterlight for the vote.

Thank you Darkchrome for a vote. A very nice surprise in the middle of my very lazy Saturday morning. Join me on the stage, and yes, that is a very dirty and smelly bunny you see, what can I say. You too JohnnyJet, glowsticks all round, just don't touch the bunny, we know where it's been....

Yes, that bunny was in my house. We need to gather a search party to find him.

Thanks for the shortlisting JJ!

(And ick! Someone catch that bunny please!)

He went that way. Everyone, grab your pitchforks and torches!!! After him!!!

You're very welcome Ashleyne B. Watts.

I've just been outside.

I'd promised the young Perps that I'd try and put their trampoline back up today. (You'll see where this is going in a moment.)

I've been getting it in the neck, all day "Will we go on it today daddy?" "Is it done yet?" "Is that the last?"
" No it's the first...."

Then it started raining. Finished what I could, was starting to feel wet and cold before realising that we were flooding out side the back door. Dug an emergency trench through the drive way. Cut my hand somehow while doing it. Covered in blood, mud, water and a few other things probably better not to think about. At last I could go in. Then...

The rabbits.

They were up there in the garden, in the pouring rain. They had to go away. Covered in mud, wet, two viciously lethal balls of fur and claw and teeth, that turned me into a mass of scratches, while they were bundled blobs of mud.

For some reason I found myself thinking about telford's story again.

Anyhoo, a quick thanks to StilLearning who has stealth voted for me and thanks to those who mentioned mine. I'd look back through and name check people but I have scratches that need attending.

And possibly stitches...

I like a good lynching, and how hard can a fluffy (maybe not this bunny, but in general fluffy applies) bunny be to catch? Right now he has hopped in the lead, he may take some catching.

I've just seen Perps post - the bunny is breeding....

And I'm critiquing a story about wererabbits on an Irish island for a friend. You really don't want to know what those little fluffy b*****s get up to (the ****** stands for unnies btw, not what you you thought). Let's just say @telford wouldn't want to have carried one around in--

No, I can't finish that sentence. Family-friendly site.... :eek::lol:
