Discussion -- May 2015 75-word Writing Challenge

Well despite all my attempts, I've got something and I'm in.

I tried to get a lot into it, maybe too much, but there we go.

I note that after the absence of a damn good slap around here, since Teresa got busy and nixie took a backseat we had a blow that rang from one end of the Chrons to the other.

Step right up Jo, looks like there is a new slapper in town.

I didn't just say that, tell me I didn't just say that. She'll kill me!

Perpetual Man -- In the most extreme circumstances, the least of all possible evils may be to end unavoidable suffering through death. The fact that this choice is eternal and irrevocable makes it the absolute last resort. In times of despair, it may seem as if all hope is lost, but it is very difficult to be certain of this, particularly under the emotional stress of misery.

I love Perp's entry.
A short missive that 'Tyrants' and 'monsters', are people too, fathers, husbands (or wives). Delivered in that tiny window before history is rewritten by the victors. Even in that most personal expression of his capacity for destruction I found myself empathising with the protagonist.

Thank you so very much Cascade.

And thanks for the review Victoria, as always greatly appreciated.

Hey, you call that a slap. Jo gave me one last year that shook the richta scale, The largest, most violent (and unprovoked) slap in Chrons history. It was, dare I say, the .44 magnum of slaps and took my head clean off my shoulders. That little tickle is nothing. Nothing I tell you. Telford stamps off in discust (and hides.)

I wish there hadn't been so much talk of late about dropping numbers for the challenges; I am still drawing a blank for this month's theme and genre - my usual percolation method seems to be bust - and was considering not entering. I usually have an idea within the first few days and then just let it malinger till it somehow accretes into a story around 15-20th but so far... nope. I'm spending so much time on my WIP that I should be fine with the month's challenge (doing other things seems to spark my creativity).

Well, I will keep thinking - up to the wire - and see what raises its head.

You'll get something, Phyre.

I just managed to cobble something up on the back of a fag packet - I'm not going to let it linger (more likely fester in my head), but I am checking one or two things with the mods this month! If I got two entries pulled in as many months I think I'd just pack my bags...

This is the latest for me in a while...and I still have no idea what I'm going to write. Something will hit me soon...I hope

I feel I might as well post this in the discussion thread. I'm sure its been asked before, but I'm too lazy to go back and look.

is '3D' considered one word or two?

I would say its a common enough phrase/hypenated word to count as one. But please wait for someone with authority than me.
