Great stuff, DG! You've done a wonderful job with the challenge. I will stop back in later today, or tomorrow, to re-read stories, vote, and make various lists...and to check other folk's lists to see if someone can finally tell me if I entered a story this month! :)

Judge, Jury and Executioner – Out in the wilds of space justice can be harsh. But can justice really be found when everyone is determined to protect their own @$$?

Writ of Certiorari – Finding immortality through the written word is given a literal meaning, but the twist at the end is a possibly terminal payoff.

A Heavenly Pie – Just desserts from someone who finds the perfect way to live out his perpetual incarceration.

The last post caught me by surprise, with Chris' name on it. Did he write it and make a mistake with his name? Is it the biggest bluff yet? Or was he just helping D G out?

Okay, the beauty of recently being made redundant is that I've had time on my hands. Usual caveat.
Well done to everyone, not a bad entry to be seen. Honorable mentions to: Mummy, Just a Taste, None so Blind, Reality Bites, Eleven Down, One to Go, Same Love and Wrong Turn etc. The gold star goes to Clap Your Hands, by a hares breath from four other close contenders.
Well done to DG for taking the reins this month.

Last month, Victoria voted for a story, only to have people attribute it to her for the next three pages of discussion. I suspect something similar may happen again. Just a Taste has a Victoria like imagery and lyricism over a gritty theme that but for the vote might have seen me assign it to her.

My vote this month goes to True Believer which I think captures the exploitation and commodification of cultures and the backlash which leads to rebellion. I was a little disappointed that the author put in the fail safe of the bomb not going off, but that perhaps says more about me than the author.

Mummy caught my eye too, particularly the harrowing doubt, this is a SFF forum, perhaps the child is a demon, or perhaps not, and i'm not sure which option is more concerning.

As a one-time Jury Forman, I proudly cast the verdict....GUILTY...of greatness. The Ballad Of Parsimone

I'll submit my list of favorites after the voting is closed.
