Right. Guesses, Favourites and Vote. The observant among you might notice that I have hedged my bets slightly in a couple of cases, which probably means I'll get the old Null Points.

Whoa! Seriously? That must be some sort of record. Do I get a gold star and go to the top of the class?

Even if I don't get a single vote or mention this month , I'll still be able to bask in glory. *wanders off, looking smug*

Edit: when you say at least 5....?

I'll have to check my spreadsheet to be sure, but I think you've done a UK and managed nil points there, Johnny.

That would mean the piece attributed to Starbeast by several guessers was incorrect. Starbeast did not write "Beast of Friends". Nor did he write Ballad of Parsimone. But he may have written Wrong Turn of Events Made Right.

Did anyone else notice Kerry attributed two separate stories to
Ashleyne B. Watts? Mummy, and Just A Taste. And ...Just A Taste has already been confirmed to not have been written by Ashleyne B. Watts.
Red Herring?

I noticed that Mr. Cat's Cradle said in a different thread that he was currently strapped for time. Could he be the 'extra' name?

Kerry left Jastius off her list, the only missing name besides her own. Given that Kerry doubled up upon one author, then there is a greater percentage of the extra name having been included within her list. Now either Kerry firmly believes Jastius, like Juliana, not to have written, or she has definately included the extra name.

Hmmm. Since there are more times that the neglected authoress has entered then not entered, I would say that Kerry has definately included inadvertently two red herrings. Both the cover name and her own choice of cover name, already one confirmed incorrect.

I thought Juliana was the red herring since she said she had skipped this month. But now I see she's not on the list at all. Would've been too easy.. :D

Chrisp, I love the little "greater or equal than" sign below Kerry's column! Statistician, methunks?
I was never a statistician. I was pure maths, not applied. And it was fifty years ago, anyway (all right, forty eight).

:) Actually, I have been unstrapped, and I am here now, Mad Alice! But I can see from your posts that you are an astute observer of the Anonymous scene...I think you will do very well here! :)

Apologies for my absence...just..busy times. I have a few guesses, a few listings, and one vote to mention, so let's get to it! Great stories, everyone!

Shortlist:
Just a Taste, None So Blind, Reality Bites, The True Believer, Hugo's Hammer, A Heavenly Pie, A Lepordin Cannot Change Its Spots

Finalists:
Once Upon a Rhyme--very well written, very clever, and a lot of fun!
The Ballad of Parsimone--what a beautiful use of language! A terrific poem.
Nature creates DNA and loses conviction.--Loved every word! A wonderful last line.

Vote:
This was a hard one...I went back and forth between my finalists...finally I decided to go with the one that I wish I had written, which was...Nature creates DNA and loses conviction. Well done, Anonymous Writer! :)

Guesses:
I usually try to guess every story, but this month I've only made a few attempts:

The Ballad of Parsimone---Chrispy
Mummy--Ashleyne
A Lepordin Cannot Change Its Spots--DG
Reality Bites--Kerry
The True Believer--Robert M.
Wrong Turn of Events Made Right--Starbeast

Best of luck to all in the voting! And congrats again to DG for a terrifically-run event! CC
