Ratsy waves his arm in the air, wanting to ask for an extension, then decides to just finish it, with only a start and an end..the middle is overrated anyway!!

TDZ, you have other things to write! So get this one done so we can all move on to the other thing...if you know what I mean...and I know you do, so stop looking at me like that :confused:

I am willing to wait a bit beyond the soft deadline, if necessary. Looking at my work schedule, I'm going to have to declare an absolute deadline of October 12th, so I can send everything out on the 13th. But sooner is better.

I tentatively liked phyre's post as long as I'm not the one he is writing for...and since I asked for a monster on an island, I have a feeling he would have been right at home with that one :devilish:

I was kidding...I don't need an extension...but I will be handing it in last minute

Do we have to guess which story was written by two people, and do we get half credit if one of them is correct?

Probably just as well. It might derail my muse to know what we're supposed to be doing.
 
I'm sitting on my couch plugging away on the story. Oh baby, I'm coming around third base and looking to make the run.
 
Tomorrow (in my part of the world, anyway) is the "soft" deadline. Let's see how many I can get before then.

October 12th is going to be the "hard" deadline because October 13th will be a convenient date for me to send out the stories and post excerpts and so on. If you can't meet the soft deadline, try to come up with something, even if only an excerpt, by the hard deadline.

I finished!!!! meatloaf would be proud :)

I got into it last night and couldn't stop writing. It ended up over 4000 words which I was surprised because I only intended to do a 2000 word story TBH

I'll go over it again to try to clean it up before sending it on

On to the next thing :eek:
 
I can't believe I never even knew there was a new thread for discussion about this! Oops! No wonder no one was commenting on their progress on the thread I was 'watching'...

I've gotta say, I pretty much wrote my hands off for the last four days, and sent it in without even really editing because I was out of time!! Too bad I didn't know about the 'hard' deadline, or I could have at least given it one more read through... Oops!

Well sorry for missing the discussion everyone! Good luck to those of you still writing. :3
