DISCUSSION -- January 2016 300-word Writing Challenge (#20)

Though I really feel I should've checked in around New Year's Day to sneak in the pic and try to get a head start on some inspiration.
But in the real world, often the winner of the 75-word challenge in one month finds it hard to write something in the following month's challenge, even though they've done more than merely select a picture (that "provides 'inspiration'"): they've chosen both the subject (one that people take seriously when voting) and genre (which is -- or rather are -- common to all 300-worders).

Thank you, Victoria.

Thank you for the wonderful review, Victoria! The Collectors in your own story are wonderful! :)

  • There's a couple, and they're half-naked;
  • There's a couple, and one of them is completely naked; or
  • There's a naked couple, and they've been sliced in half.

I'm rooting for an interesting combination of topless and bottomless...

Rafellin - I loved how you story seemed at first to be a fantasy story to me, then as it develops you realise it is a sort of (well) post apocalyptic sci fi. I enjoyed your story.

Cats Cradle - I'm smiling all the way through, best line by far for me "My dressing room mirror’s too small." :)

Juliana, I love the tension in your piece, I want to read a full story sized version of this.

Droflet - The agony of of hopes dashed.

Ken Zulu : I adore this slice of space admin, absolutely adore it!

Victoria Silverwolf - So enjoy the concept of collectors never hurting anybody, just collecting. What a mad world it would be if we had such a life form roaming around :)
