Szekret Sztory: Szection Szeven

HA! Burrrrrnnn (or am I missing the spirit of the convo?):D

Well, I have fourteen handwritten pages of extremely preliminary stuff ready for heavy revision. (By "preliminary," I mean something like "Hamlet found out his uncle killed his father so he ponders whether to kill him. Eventually nearly everybody dies. The end.") That's maybe 3000 to 4000 words. No idea how long the real version will be, or when it will be ready.

I'll start tomorrow. Gonna do it in a single day.
Oh, how wrong I was... This overly ambitious, overly optimistic young spirit of mine...
Bit more than I can chew and all that.

Mine's ended twice without really beginning yet. :/
Fortunately the [requested story element] has helped me get past [the previously omitted plot difficulty] and into some fun and funny dialogue. Ever try and make a [requested element] have a intelligible conversation with a [requested story element] hehe, good times. Hard to get into the head of a [character description omitted] but a [character description omitted]
*hope shakes her head*

If I could just figured out what happens next...

Whaaaaaat--4200 solid words in a single day! Didn't know how awesome I was, specially since I wasn't interested in the theme I got at all. Goes to show inspiration comes from the darndest places. Not finished yet, but by tomorrow it should be cooked and served. And the story is coming out juicy too, so beware of splattering when biting into it, dear unnamed reader.

Mmm medium rare story bites...

I haven't touched mine in days. Came down with a case of life. Blegh.

*is reminded that when she pulls copies of the files needed to apply for jobs, to pull the story as well so if the laptop takes a working holiday, she won't have to start over again.*

Alright you Daves,

I've just received the third story upon the list. You people are machines!

If I'm being honest, I've actually received the fifth story, because at least two of you are indulging in, ahem, "extracurricular" activities. Yes, that's right - you, you behind the bike shed, you - stand still, laddie!

if you don't eat your meat, how can you have any pudding?!

Yes, I did. Didn't I respond? Sorry. You can thrash me soundly about the head and shoulders on Monday evening.

But I'll get back to you properly before then.

Actually, I was more worried about my ISP; Virgin have been really messing me around since March and I thought it might've been floating round the interaether somewhere.

It's nearly the end of May, so it's time for a Sekrit update I think.

So far, five stories have been submitted and delivered to their recipients, the lucky things. Which means that - officially at least* - there are nine stories left to submit.

It's now May 19th, which means that as of tomorrow there will be 6 weeks to complete your outstanding, outstanding stories and get them into the grinder. I should also add the good news that @sinister42 has volunteered to write a story for the Challenge as well, so at least somebody might be lucky enough to receive a bonus story.

Good luck, everyone!

PS I should add that if anyone is struggling to complete their story by the deadline, please let me know so I can reallocate / inform the reader. If it's not possible then that's cool - real life comes first and has a habit of chucking curveballs - but out of courtesy to fellow Chronners please let me know via PM :)

*You never know, someone might go above the call of duty and write more than one...

Thanks for the reminder - guess I should get started on that. :p

Indeed I am PH..

so yeah another Western featuring a band of thieves and they're wolf... :sneaky:

Hrm. We talking about a kind of wolf Voltron here, or just a band of werewolf thieves? Either way, I'm intrigued.

Edit: I've confused things further. Are "werewolf thieves" people who steal werewolves, or werewolves who steal things?

Many directions this thing can go, methinks...
