United Agents open house submissions

I haven't heard back yet, but I notice one of the agents tweet today about people coming in for meetings already. I tweeted her, and emailed an enquiry to the openhouse email, just waiting for a reply now. I'll admit to being apprehensive -- the dreaded 'did I accidently delete my rejection without knowing' feeling -- will post if I get any info.

That's what I suspect. On her account, the blurb states that she likes crime and non-fiction so I'm thinking it's for the week previous.

I haven't heard anything either. Commiserations to the rejected and fingers crossed for those, like me, who are still dangling.

I had totally forgotten about this thread and have to belatedly admit to having subbed on the 15th, the commercial fiction day. The only reason I've remembered is that I have a note in my diary for today (that I should have heard from UA by now, 6 weeks after subbing). I haven't, so far, but there are a few hours of today left. I'd imagine they're still clearing backlogs and will be a while sending out all the Rs.

Anyone else heard back? @prizzley, @anthorn or @aThenian?

Still a week left to hear back. 15th to 15th sept is one month So if we don't hear back by the end of this week we're not going to hear back or at least until we message them

I make it six weeks today since the science fiction submission window... I'm not likely to forget 15th August as I was taken into hospital in the wee small hours of the morning in a fair amount of pain... the ambulance crew, doctors, nurses and all the staff were wonderful... much better now thanks to them and many others...

I heard back and it was a rejection. Said they didn't connect to the material or sufficiently see its merits, but the letter was a bog standard send to all uniform rejection letter.

newbie here, though long time stalker through a couple of long and torturous open house submissions.
Just wondering if anyone has spotted a glimmer of news on this one, the slightest suggestion that UA are nearing the end of the Contemporary Fiction read throughs? Absolutely expecting a fat and shiny 'no' of course (always the optimist!) but an answer would be lovely. Twitter seems devoid of twittering on the subject.

I confess to having watched from a far for a while now on this thread and on the Hodderscape one from last year. And all I've seen is cheerfulness and support for one another, so I finally stepped out of stalker mode. As a total newbie I feel a little shamefaced about being added to the list above, but thank you
