I was very disappointed with my own story this month. It was based on a real experience, and when I wrote it up, it sounded good - but it was at 600+ words. I couldn't cut it down and keep the flavor I was aiming for. I finally posted it out of frustration, rather than being satisfied with it.

So all the more grateful I am for the mentions/vote.
