DISCUSSION -- October 2016 300-word Writing Challenge (#23)

Thank you. Yes, all of us in the car are okay. A lorry tried to occupy the same space we were in on the motorway. Sent us spinning. We ended up on the embankment. We are shaken and also a little stirred. ;)

Sorry about the votes.

Exactly the Same thing happened to my other half recently.

A slap on the back and so close award to Wruter

while

share the honours.

Thanks, Perp. I'd given up on a vote this month. Cheered me up no end.

Many, many thanks, Perp. Thinking back six year when I was a wee little Chrononaut, you gave me my very first compliment. Something to do with the death of Will Smith, as I recall. Meant a lot.

The more I think about this though, I can't remember saying it you you Drof, I think it was to some guy called Telford, but not you :D ;)

Yeah, I buried him in the back yard. I had to. He kept drinking my beer.

If he was called Telford he deserved it. Have you tried driving round that place? I used to work with one of the engineers who was involved in designing that road system. It was a fact he tries to keep secret.

I've driven on the M54 by Telford, once. It was Christmas Eve eight or nine years ago, and the road was completely, totally empty. Had the whole motorway to myself for miles and miles. Best drive ever. In fact, that would definitely be one of the upsides to the apocalypse.

Only after I wrote the book did I discover there was a place called Telford. Silly me.
