DISCUSSION -- MAY 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

[Moonbat]

First a massive thanks to starbeast, mosaix and cory for the votes. I was really chuffed to get them.

My story came from the idea that some road names finish with 'end' so this story had the end to end all ends. Throw in some random fantasy elements like gremlin stones and the rest tells itself.

I voted for Shyrka first and second time round.

Being a Parson does not necessarily make you a prude, or even easily shocked. I both read and reviewed his story. Hm.... did it get it deleted too. Checked. My review is still there.

DISCUSSION -- MAY 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

Thanks to everyone who mentioned my story. I found urban fantasy hard to pin down, so was happy to get what I got. Now that summer is here, I'm looking forward to having the head space to dedicate to the challenges.

I both read and reviewed his story. Hm.... did it get it deleted too. Checked. My review is still there.

We're not quite so petty as to remove all trace of a story's existence, in the event of a misstep.

well i ninja'd a vote in for @Shyrka in regular time so doubled down in the tiebreaker. it was a story that grabbed me on the first read and didn't let go.

looks like the stripy horse might have it though.

I was sorry to see Perpetual Man's story go, it would have been in my top picks I think.

Congrats to Shyrka and Dusty for reaching the vote-off! Fine stories, both, but I went with Dusty in the tiebreaker.

I want to congrats both authors again, and send special congrats to whomever wins the tiebreaker. I've just had a wisdom tooth removed, and an infection has set in, and the pain pills really aren't helping that much, so I may not be able to come back for awhile to offer proper congratulations. Hope to see you all sometime in June for the next challenge, CC

I've just had a wisdom tooth removed, and an infection has set in, and the pain pills really aren't helping that much, so I may not be able to come back for awhile to offer proper congratulations. Hope to see you all sometime in June for the next challenge, CC

Ouch. If you rinse your mouth with salty water, that can deaden the pain too. Take it easy pal, and just relax bro.

I remember when I had two wisdom teeth pulled on the same dentist visit. The teeth were deep rooted, so he had to pry them out with a chisel. I was awake for the ordeal, I can still remember the sound of flesh ripping in my mouth. And the dentist grunting, groaning and sweating, as I tried to think of pleasant thoughts.

I thought I was tough, my cousin had all four wisdom teeth removed on the same day. She was put asleep and her pretty face looked like a swollen bulldog when she came home. A week later, she was her lovely self.

Sorry to sidetrack, but thanks Starbeast for the kind words...I will try the salt water. And hearing about you and your cousin...yikes! That will motivate me to not worry so much about this one little extraction of mine.

Yes indeed. I trust that the antibiotics will work with time...I'm hoping the pain meds will start helping a bit more, soon.
