Discussion Thread -- July 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

Well my story is in, as is, I see, TDZ's...

...neither of which mean that the Challenge is closing early this month, so those of you who haven't yet entered have just under 10 hours left to get yours in....

Less than an hour to go, but if we can get one more story we will reach 50 for (I think) the first time in quite a while.

Anyone? Anyone?

Parson returns to grumble about people waiting to the last minute. Must more than 10% of you all wait until the last day? Sigh, but hey we got 50 so here goes...

@TheDustyZebra .... Lets us know that writing stories can have serious consequences even when they seem to be only "Playthings."

@Ursa major .... Tells us of us a tale of bullies, liars, and misdirection. A toy's last trip will always be "The Trip of a Lifetime."

@ratsy .... Should provide facial tissues as he tells the tale of the war and "The Doll."

@Mr Orange .... finds out that even a toy can point the accusatory paw in get results even when he is "Just a Bunny."

@Moonbat .... Gives us this uneasy feeling that this story is very kinky. He says "Got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking...."

@Dan Jones .... Shows that even toys can have a very nasty side as he tells the story of "Tin Man."

@Robert Mackay
.... Reminds us never to mess with people whose gift seems supernatural. They just might march "To the Castle."

By my reckoning we have 50 winners this month. Well done one and all.

What a choice this month 49!
Ten votes each would help a lot in choosing :)
I opted for Insurrection by Joshua Jones but there were so many other ones of such a high level - some enterprising person could make a belter of a short story anthology by picking out thirty or so of these.

I did have a short list scribbled down but can't find the paper!
If time permits before "edit cut off hour" then I'll be back :D
