@Glen .... The Ravings of Buck Johnson .... opens our eyes to the fact that a mad man says crazy things.

@SPoots .... Untitled .... tells us a sad tale of freaks, force, and family.

Well, I'm in. Fairly early for me but I had a thought early on and a little more time than I often have the first part of the month. It seemed to come together pretty well, so I posted. Hope people like it.

Last Chance At “Redemption Pass”, @jackwinabox57 – Undertake this dangerous quest and you might get to see an amazing canine-human spectacle. On the other hand, you may end up not seeing anything at all. Permenantly.

Gunslinging Gallants in the Wild Underwater West, @D.A. Xiaolin Spires – There’s something distinctly fishy about this tale of aquatic adversarys – do they fight at high noon or high tide? Regardless, this story teaches us that it’s important to get to the heart of the matter.

One Night In Dead End, Nebraska. @Droflet – A canny businessman considers all markets in this story, one that disapproves that old adage ‘you can’t take it with you’.

The Further Adventures of Rusty, @Jo Zebedee – Dogs may indeed be a man’s best friend but not, it would appear, an alien’s. I’ve always found acid-blood a little sour, myself, but each to their own.

The Ravings of Buck Johnson, @Glen – Poor Buck Johnson – whatever wonders he might have seen from on high, no one is going to believe a befuddled, soaking-wet fella hollerin’ all about town.

Untitled, @SPoots – A harrowing tale that tells of someone who ran away from the circus, not away with it. It appears the (freak) show must go on...

Galveston Island 1878, @Parson – All the fun of the fair can take its toll but one should not be judged a little harmless over-indulgence. From the sound of it, poor Valentine needs Gaviscon, not Galveston.

Sister Agnes, @Hugh – The carnival’s come to town! See the greatest wonders of the world... and some that are entirely out of it!

@Hugh .... Sister Agnes .... point us to the fact that when a feverish carny is in process anything can be warped.

@Pedro Del Mar .... Birth of an American Vampire .... brings to mind the fact that debauchery can be a turn with permanent implications.

@Shyrka .... One of Our Own .... Among the circus folk paybacks are paid back in full!

@mosaix .... Poor Draw Leads To Boot Hill .... as with any prognostication the tarot card truth depends on how you look at it. Look at it with your own prejudices and your chances are the same as any outlaw facing Matt Dillion.

Birth of an American Vampire, @Pedro Del Mar – The lure of the carnival (or should that be carnal?) proves true great for the hapless subject of this story. Like a moth to a flame, he may end up getting burned...

Poor Draw Leads To Boot Hill, @mosaix – Unlike the classic Western showdown, when it comes to having your fortune told it pays not to try to finish things early. Or, if you want to frame it in gunslinging terms, never go off half-cocked.

Fashion Fortune, @AstroZon – A time-travelling accident that could have proven fatal is saved by a fortunate happenstance: it turns out that every carnival needs a showman with flare(s).

The Wildest Wild West Show West of the Pecos, @johnnyjet – With perhaps more than a wry nod to modern affairs, this story of a truly astonishing circus showcases one of the most outlandish freaks of all.

@AstroZon .... Fashion Fortune .... Helps us to understand that today's "normal" has been or will be at some time completely over the top.

@johnnyjet .... The Wildest Wild West Show West of the Pecos .... Points out that that a freak show, shows all of the most unusual of characters. Even when some of them shouldn't be unusual?

@Antimon .... Last Rodeo Night .... leaves us with more questions that answers. It seems we have a rodeo clown; and his horse? The horse has fingers, a saddle, and in charge. This is definitely Weird Western.
