Discussion -- November 2017 -- 75 Word Challenge

@Starbeast .... Sideshow Sanctuary .... gives the weirdest of the weird not only a chance but get respect among the sideshow soldiers.

@chrispenycate .... Shortfellow percussion (for Wa'ds worth) .... creates the ethos of the grand big top's arrival from the tracks.

@Kerrybuchanan .... The Fatal Attraction of Fast Food ....
reminds us that in a day and age of fast food and mass shooters one of the bad guys can be taken down.

Starbeast with fearsome freaks!

If this were the 300 Challenge, I really would have gone even further with the story. Thank you Lady Victoria, for a direct comment review.

As for your tale, The Magic Spectacles, I thought it was a wonderful treat, and an excellent drama. "Ophthalmological Distortions". I like that.

Thank you Parson, for the vivid review. Wait until I relay the origin of this story, after the winner is chosen. Ohhhh, man. I even discussed it on a radio show, many years ago.

As for your story, Galveston Island 1878, I thought it was a gritty, yet, pleasant supernatural tale. "Only God can judge, and he loves you always." Awesome.

@DelActivisto ....Keep thinking. I've often had a near last minute piece of inspiration.

--------

@Joshua Jones .... Breaking the Chains .... Helps us to understand that when the dinosaurs are running wild so is vigilante (or is it vigilelena?) justice.

Silver guns had me thinking "Lone Ranger." :D

@Joshua Jones .... How did you do that? I had a like before I posted the edit including your story review?
I guess some of the clairvoyance from the time @nixie was in my mind stuck with me ;). Actually, I had liked it for your suggestion to stay with it, and now that I see you gave a great review, I doubly like it! Thanks, as always, for your review.

@Ajid .... The Freak Show .... When the circus comes to town it's the animals and the freaks that draw the most attention. ..... Rather like this place, don't you imagine?

Welcome back to the challenges, Ajid! And thanks for the mention. ;)

Last Rodeo Night, @Antimon – A reluctant rodeo clown must face his most terrifying opponent yet. It’s usually a red rag that arouses the bull, not a red nose.

Sideshow Sanctuary, @Starbeast – The line between monster and freak show super-star is wafer thin in this disturbing tale of a creature who binges on bottled bambinos.

Shortfellow percussion (for Wa’ds worth), @chrispenycate – A story of an train-bourne eldritch carnival that transcends time and space, this poem is rich with classical inspiration.

The Fatal Attraction of Fast Food, @Kerrybuchanan – The story of a ‘clown’ that doesn’t love kids, other than to eat. You need to be quick on the draw to catch that kind of food.

Breaking the Chains, @Joshua Jones – Enslaved by circus-running dinosaurs, a young man is forced to build the very railroad that transports them when salvation comes from an unlikely, yet familiar, quarter.

The Freak Show, @Ajid – A whimsical rhyme about an outlandish place, full of weird and wonderful (yet seemingly friendly) creatures. Come on in and enjoy the show but beware, they believe in audience participation...

Come See, @paranoid marvin – Another poetic entry that details a carnival of classic cowboy carnage. Relive their war against the indigenous peoples but beware, it is very realistic.
