Discussion -- November 2017 -- 75 Word Challenge

Hmm. A day left (minus a few minutes for typing this) and thirty-five entries - lacking seven. Still:- Bob Senior, Callopenjo, Culhwch, hazelrah, Heijan Xavier, LittleStar, Mad Alice, Phyrebrat, The Judge, TheDustyZebra, TitaniumTi, Ursa major and Vaz haven't yet submitted, so there's still a good risk of managing it.

Wow, wasn't sure I'd make that one. Huzzah!

I'm having a listen to some Calexico based on the recommendation earlier in this thread - good reading music. Low key and atmospheric. I like it. I'll have to make sure I put it back on when it comes to my voting time re-read. (I wonder if you could influence the vote by recommending one band or another, like supermarkets do with food choices... I'm uh... just asking for a friend.)

I got this splendid picture of the Musak Corporation, who already tailor music programs for supermarkets and factories that are time coordinated to resonate with the customers and workers to induce the desired mood at the requisite moment, accepting a government contract to get people to vote for the right candidate - they have their own satelites, they wouldn't need the Russians…

Very true. Sometimes writing outside of what is our norm brings surprising results, and (as I've said before) any entry will almost certainly help to improve you in future months.

One thing is for sure, it certainly won't be as bad as you think it might be, all entries are unique and enjoyable in their own way.

I’ve got a lot of pleasure from my stories in the year or so that I’ve been participating. Each month I expect to be my last as I don’t expect anything else to emerge out of what passes for my mind, and each month so far I’ve been very pleasantly surprised to find I have something to contribute.

Plenty of time left, Dragon. Surely you can type more than 15 words an hour?

For everyone else, hurry up! (That includes me.)

I've been stewing an idea for about three weeks, and finally got it down. Like all my weird western entries, it involves a hoss. Having looked at the cornucopia of craziness that's already been posted, though, I'm not sure it's weird enough!

Typing the words is rarely the problem. For some of us thinking of the right ones can take a lot longer. I personally go through periods where even composing a grocery list taxes my literary powers.

Yeah, I'm just yanking Dragon's chain. :D I'm still thinking, myself. And googling. And cooking. My story may come out of the oven, which is ok as long as my computer can produce a turkey.

Really didn't think I'd make this one. For three weeks all I could get was Doris Day as Calamity Jane singing Noel Coward's Don't Put Your Daughter on the Deadwood Stage, Mrs Worthington.

Finally got a proper idea this evening, but could I get a damn ending? Could I buggery. Hence the one you've got. As the Judicial Helpmeet helpfully said, the old ones are the best. Though by the looks of it, in TDZ's opinion, the old ones are the ripest... :p
