DISCUSSION THREAD -- December 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

@Droflet .... The Experiment .... When your plan both succeeds and utterly fails at the same time.

@Heijan Xavier .... The Present Lies Before the Truth .... When your ontological reality needs to be drowned.

@Glen .... Present, but not correct .... When your cover has been blown and the hammer is about to drop.

@Peter V .... I Am the Ghost of Christmas Present .... When you feel like you are missing something very important.

And now for one which just appeared while I was wondering around the site. (I'm lost in here like everyone else.)

@Culhwch .... The Omnipresent .... When you need inspiration to find your mate the perfect gift.

Erm, Cul, I have the feeling that I've missed a double entendre or bathroom humor in your story. Cleverly done.

If you did I missed it too!

Well I'm in. I really didn't think I was going to come up with a story, so just pleased to have managed one.

Okay, I'm in. Twice I had stories ready to go and twice I read the existing entries only to find stories similar to mine. This time I posted without reading.

@reiver33 .... Living In It .... When you realize that getting what you've wished for might not be exactly what you wished for.

Reiver, that was a rock star of a story! Well done!

@Hugh .... The Malga .... When you realize that you are no where near as insightful as you thought that you were.

@mosaix .... Just A Minute.... When you need an insight into the origin of really inane advertising.

How many days left to enter?

I know it finishes sooner (before Christmas?)

Nine days, 23rd Dec at 23:59.
The 75 runs from 1st -23rd every month.

Wanders off, grumbling about people not reading first post.
Though it is true that putting the voting ove Christmas does mean we'll probably not get everyone who might have voted.

Five pages in by now; who can be bovvered scrolling back to the first post? :D :D
The 'First post' is in the entries thread, not the discussion thread, which rarely goes above three pages, and by now is still on page 2. I actually read it this time, since I posted it (shines forth as an example of virtue) but admittedly don't do so every time (ought to grovel in the dirt, but had already memorised the instructions before the 'Read first…' instruction was introduced (remembers halcyon days when members were queuing up to suggest we print a book constituted entirely of theseminiature masterpieces)
