Thanks to @BT Jones and @JS Wiig for the votes plus the mentions. Escape into a good book was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the theme, although getting it down into a workable 75 words did take longer than normal.

Well this is all very humbling. Having never gained more than two votes before you could have knocked me down with a wrecking ball when I found I had gained entry to a tie breaker.

Then to find I had won, well I'm just over the moon.

Many many thanks to all the people that voted for me and commiserations to @BT Jones for missing out on a very close tie breaker.

The problem now is, I have to come up with a topic for February with little time to think one up.
