DISCUSSION THREAD -- JUNE 2022 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

@therapist .... The Field of Dreams ,,,, Therapist reminds us that the road to addiction is easy to scale even when the price is high.

@EPT Henry .... Fantasy? .... EPT H helps us to remember that it's possible that the greatest contentment comes from a lack of imagination.

@Phyrebrat .... The Fruits of Dunsynain .... Phyrebrat helps us remember that faith is both insubstantial and invincible in the course of time.

Just my garden, where weeds grow quickly and chase me triffid style when ever I'm out doors. If it wasn't for my early adoption of pitchforks I'm not sure where I'd be.

@Hugh .... The Human Condition .... Hugh tells a tale that reaches to the highest heavens and the lowest hells.

@Mon0Zer0 .... THE HEAVY HANDED SWORDSMAN IN: SQUIRE, WHERE’S MY CASTLE? .... M0Z0 underlines the truth that "pride goeth before a fall."

I wrote one! It's been a while. Just the old warm-up classic.

@Stable .... The Hero's Salad .... Stable brings us head up with the maxim: Be careful not to bite off more than you can chew.

EPT Henry: A playful examination of the power of imagination.

Phyrebrat: A haunting portrait of dark magics.

Hugh: A sly allegory for the pursuit of one's goals.

Mon0Zer0: A comic account of the better part of valor.

Stable: A satiric look at genre fiction.

M. Robert Gibson: A fable of advice sought and partly understood.

I'm texting from my garden shed, where I've been trapped for days.

I'm so thirsty... lucky for me I keep my beer here, or I'd be done for.

The weeds have got me boxed in and with the good weather, they've grown.... like really got big.

Please send Weedol and lots of it. Ideally before voting starts as my phone battery is running low. This may be my last message.

A close thing there. I'd lost track of the days, and only realised it was the 23rd about 2 hours ago. Cue a quick stint in the garden, a nose around my 50 or so herbs, a thorough examination for alternative names in my signed copy of Jekka McVicar's Complete Herb Book and some cogitation and Viola! (Though I'm peeved I couldn't get a decent rhyme that fitted the story to go with "Elfwort, yarrow." On the plus side, I belatedly saw a double entendre with "horehound" which quite tickled me!)
