Yep, Grant Morrison's quirky look at superhero's - a nice play on a hero being an anti-hero, and some decent basic plot moves to uplift the story. :)

As for the Red Devil - hm, JP - is this a comic you read?? Makes a difference to Hellblazer. :)
 
The little devil is a character from a comic I used to read as a wee brat. One never forgets old favourites, no matter how silly. :)

I'll give a hint: he's a Harvey character. Harvey had a whole slew of characters for children, based on scary horror types, but all pretty friendly or funny.
 
O-kay...I don't read as many as you people do and my preference is generally for the old-skool stuff but here's something to whet your appetite.

Gollum, cldn't you simply post a link to an image? We'd be on the honour system not to work backwards from the link, find the web page it's on and get the answer from there. Oh, you'd have to find a link that doesn't contain the name or hide it with link text.
 
Yes that's an idea but tell you what I'll do. As I've got to go soon, I'll state what I think the answer is. If I'm correct I'm happy for you or Ravenus to have the next turn. After that, next time I guess and get the correct answer I'll post an image myself. Fair enough?...:)

Oh, I am cheating a little because I remember Brian pointing out the source of his avatar in a previous discussion on the boards somewhere. He is from Watchmen, and his name is.......Adrian Veidt? A very misguided "hero."
