Another Round Robin Fanfic... rhyming couplets

Jack smiled, "Apophis and Harry are two snakes in a bed."
The general's eyes twinkled, "Poor Apophis, although,
he deserves it. Mission acomplished, on leave you must go!"

(Knowing my two favorites snakes are together
Makes me smile through all kinds of weather
In rain, snow, sleet, and sun
I hope their tale is not done
or we only have SG-1 and not that sum lump
to love, dump on, thump on, and whump!!)

she turned him down flat, despite Teal'c's wishing

i've got a cycle to finish she said in her head
and with that turned off the light and went to bed

Sorry, I was so caught up in the drama of the moment, I did not stop to read it more carefully. The very thought of Mayborne on SG-1 gave me a sort of tunnel vision, going on to a faint!!

Now dear reader please listen, hark as you do,
As we tell a sad tale of these brave men and few
(Not forgetting the Major) They embark on a trip,
Filled with many a bruise and a plentiful quip.

With adrenaline pumping the team headed west
Where the malp said the ruins were really the best.
But little did our intrepid team know,
they had a unfriendly lifeform in tow.

they walked through the grass, their eyes open wide
three of them holding their weapons at their side

the fourth of our group, a tall dark, handsom man
scanned the horizon with a vigilance few can

Over the rise, something was lurking,
Our fearless team carried on thier searching.
Cautious and weary they did go,
Not knowing what was there, friend or foe?

At the ruins deep and dark
where the malp had come to park
Our weary team came to rest
from their wanderings to the west.

Teal'c took watch as the others sat down
When a strange feeling caused the Jaffa to frown.

Suddenly out of the near distance came
A bonechilling howl of something not tame.

Over the hill and now into sight,
Strides a terrifying creature, best seen in the night1
With eyes bright aflame and a mout full of drool,
He advances quite fast on our quartet so cool.

 

[skydiver]

the grumpy colonel raises his gun
somehow he knows this just won't be fun

The major pulls her rifle to the fore
this is a critter she hasn't seen before

 

[DCBastien]

But Daniel stands foward, "No! No! NO!
"We can't tell if he's friend or foe!"
Said Jack, "Spacemonkey, you've gone too far!
Restrain the brainwashed Dan, my dear Jaffa."

 

[Leelu]

The monster came to a stop with a snarl,grunt and grate.
Daniel, the linguist, burst forth to translate.

"We are from Earth, in peace we have came.
I am Daniel Jackson, what is your name?"

how dare do you talk with me you creatures with no paws
among some cirles i am called the great and powerful oz

jack looked at his friends, as puzzled look on his face
'oh for cying out loud!' exclaimed the member of the jaffa race

The creature was huge and bear-like with lion-like paws,
Glowing eyes, needle-like teeth and sharp terrible claws.

The cavernous mouth opened and spoke once more,
"Leave my kingdom, tiny ones, as rules you abhor.

 

[Cap'tCrash]

For a few monments the team stood and stared
Then Jack stepped forward and firmly declared
'You may by big and you may be hairy
But we don't find you at all scary'.

 

[Leelu]

"We aren't leaving, we have 'rocks' to explore."
"Artifacts",said Daniel, like so many times before.

"Whatever", said Jack as he looked at the brute,
"So hit the road, toad, or we'll give you the boot!"
